did it through FATEs only this time since I used up all the sidequests for SMN. grinding FATEs got a little mind numbing after a while due to the AOE spam mechanics and some areas you can maximize leveling for many levels at a time. but, the roaming aspect is nice compared to the static grind parties of old. but I do miss the party mechanics from FFXI. even though that grind may have been more daunting, I feel 'knowing one's class' came into play more often than it does in FATEs ;( the synergy is something that feels missing in XIV.

but at least I look BAMF now
