If you're in the minority, no matter what reason, you're being inconsiderate by enforcing your own play style on others. Either you want to speed run, watch cut scenes or whatever else and the rest of the group don't agree, it's much more reasonable to do what the rest of the group wants. Or you could leave and make your own group. This is a multi player game, be thoughtful of what the rest of the group wants. It's not like any dungeon is labeled with THIS IS A SPEED RUN DUNGEON, or IF YOU SIGN UP FOR THIS YOU MUST AGREE TO WATCH CUT SCENES. Let the group majority decide, comply and be reasonable.

I can safely say that I am in the minority, I'm a tank and I'm always reasonable, if they want to do a speed run I'll leave and let them get another thank who shares the same mindset as them, which do you think will take longer the cut scenes or finding a new tank? because I can honestly say for me the next group will take me a minute or two at most from me hitting that que button.

What a load of rubbish. People with your mindset are ruining this game.

What the minority is depends. I've been in groups where the majority wants to watch the cut scenes or kill all the trash or whatever. It's not what I personally want, but considering I decided to group up with complete strangers, I think it's only reasonable to stick around.

What mindset? Being considerate about what the majority of my group members want? The only mindset that is ruining the experience of this game is those who so insistently enforce their playstyle on others, be it for this or that reason.

This is a FINAL FANTASY GAME which means it has a HUGE and BRILLIANT story which i will watch no matter what anyone says. This is my first mmo game as i have dyslexia i never tried to play one before meaning i missed out on playing ffxi as i was scared to play with others. i will not let that fear stop me from watching all the cut sence in this game if people don't like that i'm sorry but i won't be rushed.

All the cutscenes are at the Inn but they're under "duty" instead of story.

There should be an option in the DF to prevent disagreements.

this might be true but they are out of contex so they are not as enoyable as they would be watch as they come

So what does this mean considering I'm stuck on a JP server? The only time I ever hear anyone even remotely speak English is during duty finder so getting a group specifically to immerse in the story is next to impossible. Does this mean I don't have a right to immerse myself in the storyline if I couldn't communicate and form parties in Japanese? The long term consequences of majority rules also presents a trouble. One month from now when a majority of the player base will have finished the main scenario do the newbies who join in then have no right to enjoy the story as it should be enjoyed since most people will only be doing speed runs? In XI it was pretty difficult to find anyone who wanted to do old party content and I sure hope nobody has to go through that.

If you want majority rule to work you also have to disallow partially formed parties from queuing duty finder otherwise it's pretty easy to tip the scale and screw what the other 3 members who join your partially made party think. I'm all for an objectives check box for duty finder rather than have to force unwritten rules on others.
