So, what was the point then of even having one character able to be all classes if you have to create a new character, level it to 50, then find someone to help transfer the gil to your main character?
It's something they need to address.

If I say take up a craft and a gathering thing, NPC all of it, repair my Crafting, Gathering gear,Battle gear, Why on earth would I buy anything from you?

There is no repair issue. Grade 5 dark matter is 350 gil. Learn crafting and do it yourself. Problem solved. Quit whining.

Here is the main thread on this issue. After more than 640 posts, only three reliable methods have been identified for bringing gil into the game once initial main quests have been exhausted:
- rolling and deleting alts to rerun the main quests,
- obtaining lvl1 shards while naked to minimize repair costs, and
- running fates also naked for the same reason.

350g Per piece of equipment is still more than I make doing anything before it degrades to being useless. It's also 1000 seals per 1 which is also a negative investment unless said seals were earned FATE spamming naked.

So please tell me where you plan on finding 4200 gil? Oh ya on top of all the costs of leveling the crafting to level 50 to repair this gear. If you're a warrior you will need 3 that's right 3 crafting classes to level 50 to repair all your gear in order to continue playing that will cost around how much gil? 10k? 50k? 100k? Please do tell me where you plan on getting this gil to level your classes? The market board right where gil is being lost instead of being gained and the only one gaining gil but still losing some of it to tax and then when all the players run out of gil then what? How are you going to support your repair bills with no income? Please do tell me your grand scheme of supporting yourself when the gil stops coming in. Please think things through before giving advice to people.
For one second lets pretend you're not on a legacy server and just a normal brand new player who made a character on a new server without much of an economy in the first place. Once everyone dries up there quests and only have leves remaining and can only do 6 every day and get just a tiny bit of gil for each one but still have to repair your gear from some magical draining equipment spell. Very little gil is coming into the game while to much of is going out of the game. That is the big issue right now because to much gil is leaving the game while not enough of it is being generated by the game itself. This is a flaw that needs to be fixed or else this game will become more empty over time.

This forum needs an unlike button for all the really, really stupid posts. 350 gil doesn't repair all your gear, just one item. The problem still remains of needing thousands of gil to repair when dungeons give you hundreds of gil. The equation doesn't add up. Also, as another poster just mentioned, you have to add the cost of leveling all those professions.
So many idiots on these topics who keep talking about their personal wealth, nobody cares. Yes, I'm doing fine for money now. Yes, I can sell stuff and make more just fine. That still doesn't address the actual issue with the economy in this game.
It should be at the very least sustainable to run dungeons. Maybe even make a little money off of the occasional drops. It should not be a loss to run a dungeon.

You do realize that's for a single piece of Dark Matter, right? That can repair a single piece of equipment? Most players, when they do stuff, have about 12 pieces of gear being worn...

I wish you could still request gear repairs like in 1.0, don't understand why they had to remove that honestly.
That's odd. Although I am a legacy player I have started 2 new characters since the ARR launch. Neither has a problem with gil. Both can buy gear that doesn't come from quests. BTW new characters I start have the tattoo and a few helms, and mounts they can't use, but they DO NOT START WITH MORE GILL THAN YOU.
STOP SPENDING GIL ON TELES.
TLDR: You are a spendthrift.
