SE said that a lot of the accounts they have banned recently for RMT were compromised (I really dislike the word "hacked" in this sense, even though they used it):

It's obvious that someone in Square enix is in league with the gil sellers.
Really, Square makes to many excuses when we propose things to them.
The fact that we don't have a right click option to blacklist someone on the chat window.
The fact that they don't give a little more gil on leves, dungeons, guildhests etc
The fact that they clearly can see the shouts and still DO nothing.
This will become FFXI all over again, where i always suspected that Square or Someone big in square was making a profit with the gil sellers.
Really why ban them, if you make money with them?
reporting should be a simple right click name, report. If it is a false report, the one who did it should get a warning, then a ban if they abuse it.
Also, you just need to go into uldah on most worlds to see the gill sellers, rather than making us do SE's job, they should just have 1 person go there and start waving the ban hammer. The report system is just aquward, esp for ps3 users
You've got to be kidding...It's obvious that someone in Square enix is in league with the gil sellers.

This happened right before I logged off to eat.

It's happened a couple of times in different zones. I really wish there was an option to add people to blacklist from the chat because it's a pain looking up these names and entering them manually.
On Fairie again in Ul'dah. Yesterday it was non-stop /shout gil sellers.. Now it is non-stop /yell. Filtered out both now. This sucks.. I am just going to give up and go back to my characters on the JP servers soon....![]()
It's time for you to quit when you believe a company that doesn't have their own sanctioned RMT is working with a 3rd party one. You say it's "FFXI all over again" I don't think you actually played XI to make that statement - every month they banned 2-20k RMT accounts and every couple of updates they add in measures to track and catch RMT which sometimes caught legit players in their net, so yeah you never touched XI.It's obvious that someone in Square enix is in league with the gil sellers.

Lack of a right click/blist is more of a design they didn't do initially, had nothing to do with RMT - Gil return is due to them knocking off a digit on gil in general, what you get for 423 gil on a leve you would have gotten 4,230 in 1.0. Keep up.
I dont understand why SE made reporting gold sellers such a tedious process, why not have a right click to report gold selling that automatically blocks the seller? It's small stupid things like this that cause people to leave the game.
