Duty finder is a disaster

I haven't really had any bad groups but it doesn't feel like I'm part of a community. We just get in, say hi, explain the fights, do the fights, collect our loot, and go our separate ways because we can't ever play together again. It doesn't make sense to invest yourself in temporary relationships like that.

End game dungeons are a mixed bag cant say they're all good cant say all bad although when they're bad they are really bad.

Like the OP, I much prefer running with LS mates or FC groups, but I have used the duty finder a couple of times. I haven't had anything close to the experience the OP had. Everyone has been friendly so far. The worst things I've seen are people who just have no idea how to play their class/job.

Personally I feel like the attitudes that come from people in the duty finder is due to they feel no empathy towards that person because "they aren't on the same server".

I'm stuck relying on it because I have no awesome FC full of amazing players. You get a sense of how difficult these fight really are when you see what can go wrong in every step of the way.

@Sidious: Well to be honest, Yoshi-P did say the only goal of the Duty Finder is to "find" a party quickly. And he did say the "hi, thanks, bye" style is perfectly fine in the Duty Finder contents.

Now I just hope they improve on the PC Search feature. If I ever have the choice of doing local server only matches I will never do cross server again unless my local server becomes a ghost server.

I've run each dungeon up to lvl 38 multiple times now. I run them when I unlock them, then again with my friend while he's leveling and sometimes multiple times for gear. Every time I have queued using the DF and only 2 times have I had to quit because of a bad team(only 1 uncooperative member each time). There have been a couple who weren't quite as skilled but as soon as other teammates give them tips they quickly adjust.

I have no issue with DF except for Scholars keeping me from instant WHM queue times. :/

Yes, this is essential. This will not only help with the issue of Trolls and bullies, but helps with people who get disconnected and take half an hour to get back in and you can't requeue even though the timer is almost up because the other player is still "on the team"

Everyone has a different approach, different personality and as such gets a different experience. You're experience doesn't equate into Duty Finder being bad in any way shape or form.
