Don't try to turn this around. I even gave you a viable XIV example. First you say "It can't be done because other players can't attack claimed mobs" and then you say "It can't be done because FFXIV doesn't have alliances", completely missing my point. That's narrow-minded thinking. It's like people who say "No I don't want an AH in XIV because I don't want to be limited to seven AH slots" as if people are suggesting it has to be 100% like XI's AH.
Basically: No to instanced dungeons, yes to open dungeons where you have the choice to help random players out by joining their party mid-dungeon.
Come on man. I understand how the claim system works but using FFXI as an example, If I'm in a 6 person party fighting my way through the Sacrarium and I see another 6 person party resting halfway through the dungeon, we can form a 12 person alliance and continue. Say in FFXIV people form light parties to run dungeons, run into another light party and bam, 8 person full party.First of all: take it easy. I don't know what you're thinking I am 'turning around on you' being as I was bringing up discussion on how they could make open world dungeons viable which seems to be what you are arguing for. I'm having trouble understanding your posts because they are all broken up into 1 or 2 lines of discussion per post. Putting all your posts together like I did above, it makes a little more sense.Don't try to turn this around. I even gave you a viable XIV example. Point: Open world dungeons would allow players to meet and join forces. Right?
I agree with that. And I think it goes along with my original point that the Devs could make open world Dungeons and instance them the way they do with Guildleves. That way parties can be in the same area without fighting for content and they could team up if they needed to, provided they were on the same leg of the dungeon.
