i wonder if talk talk is doing this as well. no idea what this all means but just makes me wonder hmmmm......

I used Talk Talk when they were a new company for FF11. At the beginning their traffic shaping was awful. I think it took about a week to sort out. I actually managed to get out of the contract 2 months in because the whole thing was a mess. Now that was a disastrous launch lol.

My bt contract took 7 days to get rid of the throttle so its foxed for me, il still bump though. For 7 days i knew how this felt.

BT really need to do something about this quickly. New contracts are not a fix available to 100% of customers. I live in a shared house, and we don't have the luxury to be able to pick and choose who we use as our ISP. We are consequently stuck on our current plan.

If I was able to choose, I would ditch BT in a heartbeat, no second chances. I refuse to accept a company who sees fit to pick and choose what their customers do with the service.

And I hope someone from BT reads this. A**holes the lot of you.

Has anyone done anything about this now? It's becoming a joke. You have had since Phase 4 beta to fix this and you still can't even make a 5 minute phone call to BT? You had some unprofessional staff pleb on twitter post some utter garbage about it last week and nothing ever came of it regardless of the fact that they said "we'll keep trying". Can we have another official response on what is actually going on please, I don't think you have any idea that 75% of the UK can't even play your game as they all use BT wholesale lines (BT leases lines to most of the UK's ISP's who don't have their own structured cabling). I'm having to pay an extra £6 a month to use a VPN service to even play the game. Most of my friends from the UK have already stopped playing due to this problem and lots more will follow. This thread used to be alive with people complaining, now it's not, want to know why? because they have gave up and have moved on to other games, is that what you want?

I'm with you on this stoy. I actually come here to this thread to see if this issue is still ongoing as I don't want to register my game till I know I will be able to play it in the evening. This all equates to the potential loss of earnings to SE as I don't have the game registered means no need to pay a subscription, and I can't see me being the only one.

Players shouldn't have to change their internet contracts to play a game. I've played several MMO's over the years and never had any problem of this nature. I've actually stopped playing Eve Online to play this game (Don't play two MMO's at the same time) and are starting to regret that decision given the SP I've missed out on.

This is an issue for SE and BT to resolve ASAP.
