Duty finder is a disaster

Normally I don't queue up using the DF unless I absolutely have to because I like to run stuff with friends but on occasion I have utilized it. Unfortunately, out of the two times I have used it with all random people the parties have been a complete disaster in which I was forced to leave the group.

What has serious happened to the final fantasy community that I have grown up loving? This attitude in the DF is just pure awful... I don't see how anyone can possibly use this and even begin to enjoy it.. its just filled with hatred and unkindness. This is truly a sad feature of the game that is unusable IMO because of the people that are in it. so sad.. /rant..

I tried it about 10ish times, I always had perfect runs. I'm only level 30 though...

Yeah, I think it's your your duty finder that's a disaster. I've had, surprisingly, no problems whatsoever unless you count a new tank who had trouble with adds. However we still cleared with ease.

The dungeon designs are actually quite fun, with enough time between 'bosses' to fill with random chatter and adapting to each other's roles.

I haven't run into any un-teachable groups or groups who weren't trying to learn.

When playing with randoms, you can't expect everyone to be the best or even at par. This is no different than any game. Being polite and trying to take control and leadership of the instance is your best option. If people don't respond well to friendly advice from you or you continually have to 'give up on people', find yourself a solid FC with individuals similar to your play style.

But there's never anything wrong with people that complain about PuGs! If you complain about other members of the group, it makes you automatically flawless.

Yea I'm only level 38. The worse experience I had was a tank and heal quitting before the first pull. Otherwise people seem to be very civil. Much more than the forums in fact.

I completed all dungeons, guildhests and main story trials with random people from DF and mostly it was a good runs. Only 1-2 times we had a problems with tanks.

I have used DF for all the dungeons so far in the story quests and only encountered amazing people. Sorry to hear that you have had such bad groups.
