FFXIV: A Realm Reborn has stopped working.

Having same issue here, been reading through threads and tried a lot of different things from cleaning drivers out and reinstalling them to memory tests. Everything is working fine, came hear and saw a post about trying a different character so I did and it works just fine...

None of the other things that you tried helped it at all? You're pretty much locked out of that character? Also, question. :O Did you happen to log out in your inn room?

So you logged out in your Inn room as well? So it probably has something to do with that, as I did the same thing.

So, I think I might have fixed the problem (me and op are friends). It seemed to have allowed her to log in again, so I figured I'd share it on here for whoever is having problems.

Problem:
After selecting a character on the Character Select screen, the game will crash.

Solution: (note: I'm not sure which one of these was the fix, since we did both steps at once)
- Go into My Documents/My Games/.
- Delete any Final Fantasy XIV Beta folders.
- Go into My Documents/My Games/Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn.
- Delete all saved character data (this includes all FFXIV_CHARA_XX.dat files as well as the character folders FFXIV_CHR0040017A4D885C).

After that, try launching the game and hopefully it works.

Ok, So I finally found the folder that has the saved characters. I could not find the beta folder, but I deleted the characters regardless. Would deleting my characters server side help?

I tried this and it I'm still having the same issue and it is still only on my Archer, it let lets me log in and play my other character just fine
