Maintenance: What are you hoping for

The only thing I want from tonight's maintenance is the death of the 1017 bug.

Its not a bug or at least thats what I gather from ffxiv_en news. 1017 is when they flip the switch and restrict the player from playing so it doesn't crash the server/make a even more unenjoyable experience. Please correct me if I am wrong.

No, you're right. I just referred to it as a bug because it's a simpler way to put it, IMO.

I hope to see that they can at least put in some measures to make the game accessible and playable up through the free access period. Otherwise, one can point out that they're probably holding off on major fixes until after free access ends, and the server population diminishes.

What they currently propose is a temporary fix, and we will most likely be discussing this again in less than a week after the maintenance. I had high hopes for this release, and now I'm only hoping they can salvage it.
