Cross Bar IS NOT good!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been saying this from the start. I've tried my best to get used to the controller, as I'm not a keyboard fan at all. Still, after 3 separate characters up to level 15 on 3 jobs each, I still make a great deal of mistakes with targeting. With the global cooldown thing, the 1.0 bar would be easy. I'm not saying get rid o the current system, but an option would be nice.

You guys should get into the habit of pressing R1 + Button to switch bars honestly. Using R1 its self is terrible.

Not if you configure it so that you can combinate it with battle stances.
I configured it that if the characer is in active stance, the bar switch only between bar1 and bar2 with pressing R1. In passive stance it switch between bar6, bar7 and bar8.

It not even that the Hotbar itself is bad it comes down to when you have so many skills and when some boss battles are so intense trying to dodge AoE's, switch to adds, move from the back to the flank of a target all while trying to use abilities is a pain in the butt. To me having a straight bar is just more practical I guess 8years of ffxi and that's what I'm use to. TBH the combat is the one thing that is keeping me from getting into this game. I had myself so hyped up about this game and if they cant add the option to allow us to choose Straight bar or crossbar for PS3 then I think myself and other are out.

I bought the PC and PS3 version solely because the PS3 Play Guide(check site) showed a Hotbar and the use of keyboard and mouse.


Many are very disappointed in the removal of this feature during the final beta phase.

After finally being able to get on today I don't think a straight bar would work that great its a pain to switch mobs so maybe if they added a CrossBar to L2+R2 would help.
