Ignorance is awesome isn't it. If you reset the servers all the )*&^% people that are AFK in game will be logged out and the ones that are waiting to play can log in. Thinking about things logically is hard I know but try it sometime. You might surprise yourself.
Diplomacy is awesome as is diffusing a hostile situation. As Yoshida (who has a greater IQ than you) has stated, kicking AFK players would only have a placebo effect. You think kicking the small amount of AFK people will magically let the masses log in the game then you are really living in a fantasy world aren't you.

First off it's not a small amount of players afking. Looking in the main cities around the Main crystal just stand there and observe the movement. You have like 25-50 people there alone not moving for hours. Not to mention the number of people hiding AFKing out in the fields. Well they are fixing this soon. The people here that don't want the restart are the ones leaving their character in game for 5-9 hours while they go to work and stuff.
AFK kicking will eventually have to be implemented regardless. Increasing server capacity an extra few thousand players, will help, but people will still /afk as more accounts are created to avoid being in a queue or locked out to future 1017 (full server) errors.Diplomacy is awesome as is diffusing a hostile situation. There's a reason afk kicking is available in every mmo and that's to avoid this kind of situation. I don't know where you're getting a "small amount" (of people) from, it looks like a large portion of the population has learned to stay logged in as there are no consequences for doing so. Everyone in-game the last few days were recommending it in chat and I'm sure guilds are doing the same.
