Well, I'm happy that you are somehow able to justify your actions and not feel bad about it, because I sure wouldn't.
I truly hope this community improves over the next few months. One of the main draws to FFXI was the great community. While there were obviously some bad apples, for the most part, people were willing to help each other out and treated everyone with respect. So far, I have not witnessed much of that in FFXIV.

Seems kind of stupid to pay all the extra money to keep your comp on 24/7 just so you don't have problems with a video game. Oh well, some people have different priorities, like none for example.

Seriously, I hate people with a passion that do this :
And you guys are even worse!!
I always log out when I'm done, not only to make space but to prevent my electric bill from skyrocketing :P You guys seem to have lots of money :O And less hobbies

Cold not agree more, the rudeness, arrogance an entitlement that these.....persons... show is just insulting. Trouble is you cant really stop them. Even if they bring in a kick system all they will do si use macros to keep themselves moving to stop it registeringHey guys while we get fixes on the loging issues and sever congestion issues why don't the people who just keep logged in (you know who you are) do the rest of us a favor and just log out while you're not playing and let the rest of us experience the game.
there is no bazzar and no reason to really stay logged in, right now it's just so you won't get the infamous 1017. but maybe things will go a little smoother while the fixes come if we all put in our little effort to alliviate the congestion..
These "individuals" think they are more important an it isnt fair to make them log out. I tend to show them the contempt they deserve. As a Whm it's fun because I know alot of the 24/7's on the server having seen them doing it for days. SO if I ever get in a group with them. I just dont heal them. While telling them exactly why.

You'd think this would be an easy fix.
Every town you go to in the game there are hordes of people that are AFK. Yesterday, I was playing for several hours in Gridania leveling my second class, and every time I came back to the city I began to notice that there were the same characters with the same names standing in exactly the same place. Once I started paying attention, I started to notice this in other "sanctuaries" as well. There are at least hundreds, if not thousands, of people doing this on each server and it's quite obvious if you pay a little attention.

I will log out like a normal person when I stop seeing 1017.
The 3 Beta Forum Factions
There are the White Knights of Eorzea who defends FF14:ARR and everything it stands for. Then there's the Beastkin Doomsayers who trolls the White Knights and bitches about everything in FF14:ARR. Then there's the Popcorn Eating Adventurers who watches these conflicts, because it entertains them.
Member of the Popcorn Eater Faction.
If I had a bullet for every time someone say something stupid, there would be one less stupid person breathing.

Not gonna log out so I can never get back in and avoid making my next relic so some noob can spam fates all day.
so after waiting for my girlfriend to go on a flight and go away for three days and be able to be alone and play the whole time ffxiv.Ive been the last freaking day trying to get wthef??Seriously I want my money back. And I cant sait to get my girlfriend back soBi can play with her at least.Seriously wtf my last 6 hours ofnplaying for the next three weeks Ive spent them trying toblog in fuck u ffxiv go home ur drunk!!!!

It's a localization issue. Because In Japan this type of thing would never happen and they need to realize for the western audience AFK timers need to be added ASAP
