Everyone knows this launch was pretty horrible, but they have announced fixes and they are going to compensate everyone, so either you suck it up a few more days and bring up some more patience or please, for the sake of the sanity of all rational forum visitors, just leave.

Once Square fixes this problem, you will have 730 hours of play time (minus the time you work, go to school and sleep....assuming you sleep), assuming you are a new player, and not legacy. That largely out wieghs the week of down time ARR has had.

Really dudes/dudettes. It's not hard to calm your tits and dicks and wait for this whole thing to blow over.
Stop being such "yankees" and be patient.




Considering EA was a perk for preorder, and you didnt have to pay a gil extra for it, I still say you people are whining for nothing.

How you got 730 hours? 24 * 30 = 720 -- 24 * 31 = 744

Yes you are right, they need to be more patient. MMO launches aren't perfect. If people are raging and quitting over stuff that normally happens, too bad for them, the server load will be reduced if they are gone.

No, what they're saying is that it's a failure because SE had a decent estimate as to how many players would be online for Early Access/Opening day and they blew it hardcore. Not to mention the queue failure and their inability to create an AFK timer to boot people off abusing the system to stay logged on. It was poorly planned, the fourth stage of beta was waaaaay too short and even in the end all they have is a player base where the majority is frustrated/let down and they simply bide their time until upgrades rather than implement temporary solutions to placate people.

I have been trying to log on every day for the three day weekend and I got to play a little bit but... Almost every time I try I get can not retrieve NA/EU character list.

Honestly its not worth the frustration even though it is a fun game

Seriously each page has several threads regarding same issue and same QQing. All by people registered Aug 2013. Have only seen a few by 1.0 people. Apparently the new player base has entitlement issues
