How extremely cynical. Could also be a kid with cancer who is bedridden and gets a small amount of enjoyment or satisfaction from playing this game. I would guess as you read that reply the first thoughts in your brainspace would be about in what ways that kid might hinder or affect you from doing what you want to do. Hopefully the afk issue will dealt with sooner rather then months from now. The other day no matter what time I tried to login server was full. I was finally able to login after 11:45 Pm eastern time NA. What made me mad was a selfish player bragging how he/she stay afk everyday. We get rested ExP if we logout inside the Inn no reason to stay on. Its just very frustrating that the exploit to beat the system is enhancing the problem. I log off cause its only fair to let people have their turn. Like many have stated once free trial ends it may lead to less congestion.

I get online around 7am est and have only a few 1017s before I get in that early in the morning. I have been logging out when not actively playing even if that is only for an hour for lunch since I am a fair and considerate person in general. However, the incredibly f'ed up log in errors and bs when trying to log back in (3 hours here, 4 hours there 7.5 hours after lunch today was max LOL) every single day and multiple times since EA, has made me decide to join the dark side. It is a shame that it is such a chore to play this game when, once actually IN the game, it is pretty fun and has some beautiful environments. I am just plumb worn out with all errors and issues (Code issues included sheesh) so far that I just want to play for ONE DAY without frustrating log in issues that occur for the majority of my days. My first "staying in game afk" will occur all tomorrow while I eat lunch/dinner and tend to whatever else crops up.

Yoshi already stated they will most likely be implementing an auto logoff but it is not a priority at the moment. I would like to see this feature because I believe it will fix most if not all of the log in issues I don't feel the addition of a few new servers and upping the capacity a little on the old ones are gonna fix all the issues. Most likely it will bring the 500,000 people trying to log on down to 200,000 and we will still be in the same situation. Personally I started to afk after being locked out for over 8 hours a couple of days ago. Made the mistake of logging off today to give my computer a rest and now "This server is full blah blah blah error error error 1017" So yah I don't agree with what afkers do but its out of my hands so "When in Rome, do what the Romans do" fits the bill here.

listen the point is it's selfish to leave you character logged in! to deny it is foolish because every time i log in and start doing stuff i see at least 50 people at each aetherite afk! there is already undo strees to the server because of the retarded it they hired why be asinine and stay logged in because "i paid for this game i'm playing it when i play it" makes you all look like a child grow the f up if not gtfo we dont need assholes like you in ff go play wow!

So you agree that people should be kicked for being AFK so others can play the game, but you're only willing to get off if you're forcibly kicked? There's certainly irony going on here, but it isn't from anybody from you.

For your information, there are plenty of players that willingly log off to let others play, myself and most of the Japanese population for one thing. Masamune wasn't having problems until we got a huge influx of American players that came because they couldn't log into their NA servers. Now all the rude players are staying logged in forever.

I've been trying to log in for near enough 2 hours now, if I finally do manage to log in there is no way on Earth that I'm logging back out again. It's not my fault that SE are suffering from gross incompetence and so I'm not going to suffer the hours of trying to log in again tomorrow when I can just remain logged in.

2 hours? Really? I have been able to log into the game in 10-20 minutes each day. I think you are exaggerating sir.

All I have to say about this is log out so some other people can have a turn, some people are so damn selfish, I hope your computers blow up or your graphics cards burn out from leaving them on 24-7.

In Matsamune I haven't been able to log in for two full days now.

There are 100's possibly even 1k players AFK in every server, thats 1k or less players that could be playing while there sleeping or doing what ever there doing while there AFK long time.

This entire issue wouldn't even be this bad if people would log the hell out once there done playing, the servers can only hold like 5k players at a time so this is just epic fail.

There should have been an AFK boot implemented from the very beginning.
