Add me to that Ul'dah list. Tried zoning from the Gladiator guild into steps and got a 90000 error and been offline over 8 hours because of it.
Can't obtain the NA/EU server list. Have tried restarting client and computer numerous times. Can get the JP server list just fine. My husband is able to get the NA list and is playing two feet away just fine. Same OS. Same router, etc.. This is some garbage. A week and I still really haven't been able to play.
As an update to my last post here a few minutes ago, I did restart the client several times since then and was able to finally get the NA/EU server list to populate. I can't get in the game because the server is full but at list the list populated! =D
The common problem when you try log in during peek hours are:
1/Your Character does not show up. Some might think it has been deleted. In fact it is not. The client simply can not fed up the data from the world you have your char reside in. Log in and out a few time and problem will be solved.
2/Unable to update NA/EU server list. Same cause and use the same solution as problem #1
3/The world currently full. Please try again later. This is the most annoying message ever. If you get this you can not do anything but wait, wait and wait and hope for your luck ._.!!
4/The Lobby Error. I don't know what cause this but it can be fixed by log out and log in again.
Anything else I am missing?
I'm having the same experience too. I guess we just have to wait it out in the meantime?
After multiple restarts of the game, I got NA servers to load.
However, now I'm getting 1017s when trying to log in, except now it hangs for about 15 seconds when I hit "Start" wherein it tells me that the Group JP servers cannot be loaded, as if I care.
So now I have to restart the entire client, hope the NA servers load, and if I get that far, I have to go through 25 second attempts to login, getting 1017 as usual, and on the rare occasion I've gotten into a queue, I have to hope that it doesn't 1017 on me, or, as it has a few times, tell me that there was a lobby connection error and close the game out on its own.
Then I get to start the whole process over again!
got the same freaking issuei dont think i had a day where it didnt take me 30-60 minutes to get into game.
I have been trying this for the last 30 minutes. Sill getting 2002 error (Lobby Error). Why has SE not commented on this problem? Everything on here and Twitter says that the issues they had were fixed, but they obviously aren't fixed. I hate how silent SE is about all this. EDIT: Of course, after I press send on this message, I try a few more times, and in I go. Now, just gotta hope I don't get booted.

Much like almost everyone else, I am either getting the Unable to load group JP (or NA/EU) list message, or the 1017 error. And the Character Selection screen takes a few minutes (or I have to quit and retry) to even get that. I'm almost at level 20 and the Ifrit fight and I want to do it!
So, its 11:00 pm and I have been trying to get on all day! I am not one to complain...but this is a bit excessive. There has to be a level of accountability here! I have seen posts were people are saying that we shouldn't complain or whatever, but we all paid for a product that we expect to work as advertised. I think we all expected some issues; I've been a part of many MMO launches and knew that launch would be a bit troublesome. Never did I expect such incompetence. There are a few things that they could do to help those of us who truly are ready to play and not log in to just AFK indefinitely. For one kick AFK'ers and make them relog!! I am sure that would clear up some room. I think it’s crazy that I have been trying to log in all day and can't get in while some jackass is parking his toon for hours at a time! We all obviously enjoy the game or we wouldn't be on here bitching about not being able to play. I hope this gets corrected quickly before we go from venting on forums to quitting the game all together.
