Fate grinding is an awful thing to do for 50 levels..

I guess I don't understand the point of view of the OP. Are there people out there who really thought they were going to take 17+ classes to level 50 and have unique and meaningful content the whole time?

I dunno. I came from SWG and leveling classes was about open world mob grinding in a group. Thats pretty much what fates are here. I think they do the job well.

i would rather grind fates over and over than do these same stupid grab a bucket, go put it in water, fill it with water, grab the full bucket, go pour it on someone type quests we are forced to do as part of the main story.

I don't understand, there are two other cities full of quests to do... I have found no shortage of quests on my second class in the other cities.

After your main class you really don't have the option anymore. No more quests just fates and leves for 50 levels.

You make a good point Sir. Lack of original content for post-main classes is a major bummer.

Be cause this is the case, it is easy to burn out on doing one thing over and over again, such as FATES. So it is nice to pepper in a variety of activities, such as crafting, gathering, grinding GC tokens and so on. In the end, everything is a grind but it doesn't have to be tedious

Yeah OP, I would much rather stand around cities for 3 hours on a DD in the hopes that I can get a 15 minute party where we pull one mob over and over and over and over <.<

Conversely, it would be almost as much fun to spam the same set of dungeons 5 levels at a time >.>

The reality is that you have options: Hunting Log, Levequests, Dungeons, Quests, and FATES. Just because FATES are the best experience gain, doesn't mean it's your only option. I like to do hunting logs personally because I get to travel around the world, seeing sites and battling different mobs. The game is about more than getting level 50 and spamming raids.

I just feel bad for anyone who didn't have all lv 50s before the end of 1.0 because this new system I think is just god awful and I only had to lv 1 class.

Questing while doing fates is awesome exp, but that's for one job. The other jobs you are screwed on unless they add more.

And this is why 8 out of 10 of my dungeon-groups are full of players who don't know how to play the game.
As an additional FYI, guildhests are good for money, not XP.
