well said on thisYou can plan all you want but nothing is guaranteed. Games at first launch 80% of the time have issues sometimes huge issue, but if you want to complain, complain all day but that's not going to fix anything. They know about the issues, its getting fixed. Now tell me, what exactly do you want from them? A game that should work as intended? Well then, let SE snap their fingers and I'm sure it'll work right away.
Now I can understand the frustration and the anger from all of this, but my point is: The game has its issues right now, whether it was "poor planning" or whatever, it happened, and they are working on it. You can either wait it out until its fixed or quit and toss the game away. Your choice, but going around complaining and being angry constantly isn't going to change the situation, although, people will do what they wish.
I don't understand your logic. The whole point of rebooting the game was to GET better sales figures. Otherwise, why would they have even bothered at all? If Squenix really wanted to just cut their losses and run, they would've just shut down the servers from the first FFXIV and focused their efforts back onto FFXI. And in the real world of business, as you call it, they had a beta and preorder figures and A PREVIOUS MMO to tell them what they should have expected in terms of day 1 sales.Wrong. In the real world of business they had no reason to expect a grand success from this reboot. The first version of their game was regarded as a total failure, why would they expect such a turn out for this one? Also regarding que it's there is one you just don't see it most of the time.
Japan's servers are working fine. NA/EU is not, because Squenix did not pay attention to those numbers. It's as simple as that. They're at fault, and I don't understand how people can sit here and say otherwise.
I paid $29.99 plus tax for a substandard service, of course I'm annoyed. That said, I was expecting a rough release as with other MMO so I'm not all too surprised that the game is barely playable this past week. What I want to know is that, when dust is all settled (getting more servers online and operational), will SE extend our 30 days free playing time for the substandard service they've provided thus far?
With them manually having to constantly adjust the logging in, and monitoring world activity it's not surprise the que isn't working the way it should. One moment it might think X but because of constant changes that are going on manually it will think Y.The queue is random. I've had world full for 2 hours before to get put into a queue of 60 people. I've also gone straight to a queue of 300 people. That isn't a working queue system. Also half the time the queue is a lie. It will give you a world full error WHILE you are in the queue. So please don't make excuses for them. They DO NOT have a working queue system.
More than likely yes, and it should be resolved, from what I read by early next week.I paid $29.99 plus tax for a substandard service, of course I'm annoyed. Japan's servers are not working fine. They have the 1017 or w/e error and have full worlds just like NA/EU.I don't understand your logic. If every server was maxed out right now we would have 250k people playing. That's less than what the amount of total users they have currently in their predictions, keeping in mind they have stopped selling the game temporarily. I have to say I'm pretty fucking impressed with how much they are doing to treat the game well. All the complaints now are just a result of people frustrated that they cannot play. Tell you what how about you go try snailgames USA age of wushu out and then come back here and see if you can complain.

I can concur with this, plus I have a JP character and I was unable to log in or even get the JP server list multiple times.Japan's servers are not working fine. They have the 1017 or w/e error and have full worlds just like NA/EU.

Honestly these complaints are fucking laughable.
1.They did not shut the servers down and say fuck it no more game for those of you who have it. They did what they could to keep it running.
2.They did not waste time with a afk kick like everyone asked for because thankfully they know that wouldn't solve jack diddly.
3.They halted sales of their product elsewhere and removed pending charges because they KNOW they don't want anyone else stepping into this pile of a mess they have.
4.They have stated that they are going to attempt to probably extend the trial because of these problems or look for a way to make this right.
5.They are working on the problem, providing updates on the situation all the freaking time.
This company is bending over backwards to do things right. Cut them some slack.
Yes honestly its infuriating and just encourages me to stay logged in so I wont have to deal with it again, even if it means someone else can't log in because of it. As someone else has said I dont cares the waiting quie is 5000 people, thats understandable at least. Whats not is saying unable to update the list when I can go to another site that says they're still up or giving me a world full error. ALWAYS give me the queue even if its huge. Thats all that needs to be done
