Really? Without premission? So the gamecode they get sent by gamedevelopers is not a premission to showcase their game?
For those who say all videomaking on youtube is a hobby, ever seen the angryjoe reviews? The amount of effort he puts into his reviews, its insane. And all the props he buys. Yeah, thats not a real reviewer job at all...
For God to be good, evil is an absolute necessity.
It's not. The gamecode you or anyone else gets is only a license to play the game NOT to showcase the game. In fact, if they didn't have that license that allowed us to showcase the game it would be illegal to stream or upload video. What these youtubers need to do is what professionals do and contact the company to get an expanded license to be able to do more than the average Joe can do with the product.Really? You know, TB, angryjoe and Jesse (to some degree) is sent most codes spesifically to do review/first impression/gameplay videos... They are respected critiques and doing video reviews are their job, it does not matter if they are on youtube or in some game magazine, its still their job. It's not. Well then, they should be entirely unaffected by this. If SE send them specific codes for reviews they would also send them modified EULAs to allow them to do this, wouldn't they? You know, TB, angryjoe and Jesse (to some degree) is sent most codes spesifically to do review/first impression/gameplay videos... Let me preface this: I do youtube videos. Yeah, I admit it'd be cool to get paid exorbitant amounts of money to do nothing but sit in my room and make videos (which is what I do anyways). But I don't monetize anything.
But let me put this shit into perspective here for you.
In the absolute worst case scenario, you've got PewDiePie. I did some searching and some number crunching. Almost every one of PewDiePie's videos goes over at LEAST 1,000,000 views, so he makes about $15,000 - $23,000 per video.
PewDiePie has 1422 videos.
That shit adds up. $32 Million dollars.
Obviously not all at once, god no, but over the course of a year or two, he's going to be a very very rich man.
Is it any wonder people don't like that?
It's the same thing with commercials and TV. You ever wonder why they blur out shirt logos and brand-name drinks in reality shows and live interviews? Yeah.
What happened to people making videos and reviews for fun?
