Day3 Update:
No new email or communications from SE. I guess I just continue the waiting game.
That's really not the issue that has so many people scared though, its apparent we will get our service accounts merged but that it will take upwards of 2 weeks to happen. Noone wants to be locked out of being able to play for 2 weeks because they had a confusing site setup.

I'd recommend going the chat route for anyone trying to get through. This is the last screen shot I took before I gave up on the phone call http://i.imgur.com/Z2KuFK1.png. Chat took me 2 hours to get connected, let's hope it was worth it.
I'm 60 in line after an hour (started at 178). Let's hope I get through...

I finally got through via the phone and they confirmed this.
