With the early story and ALL the class quests being forgettable trash... I've got to think someone could have done better

I agree, if you spam the whole story line with a level 50 job/class the quests from lil ifrit to lil garuda really are boring. On the other hand, from a new player perspective or if you're doing the main scenario on a class/job that can get exp, the amount of exp you get from the quests of the main scenario storyline is golden.
