This! I honestly would just like updates even if it isn't a full-fledged conversation. I'd just like to see that they're doing SOMETHING and know that they know there's a problem.Last week during Gamescom, Carbine didn't really announce anything new about Wildstar, but devs in NA were still up in the middle of the night to update their website and tweet in real time. . . They don't just post things; they have actual conversations with us.
So far SE has been mostly silent, and when they do post something it's just some non-informative text that has been copied and pasted in the News section. It's like the whole company is being run by robots (except for the fact that robots would probably at least solve the problem). Even if they don't care about us, isn't it good business sense to at least pretend like they do?
I decided I wanted the mount that came with the CE so I upgraded my order when it prompted me to do so & wouldn't you know, there was no 1017 in site when it came to taking me money
But when it comes to me enjoying said purchase I get 1017. There is not even 1 EU/NA server available right now to make a new character on.

Why should we have to worry about available slots on any given world? SE had no idea whatsoever how many worlds/servers would be needed at launch? They don't seem to be doing a very good job about keeping people informed about 1017gate - the people who paid money to buy their game with the expectation that they would be able to play said game.
If we all chose a JP server, could we play there? Is everything still in English for our versions of the game? Just random JP players running around?

That's bull... I had D3 running everyday from launch and so did all my friends who played it... just cause a handful of people couldn't get on for whatever reason doesn't mean we all couldn't get on. Just like all the wow expansions... I never had any issue with any of their releases... albeit I only played about 2-3 hours at a time theres a good chance it happened when I wasnt home but never had the issues when I wanted to play... same goes for 1.0. I beta tested it and did the EA without a single hitch. I will admit Aion *PVP* servers had issues but non pvp servers and RP servers DID NOT have those issues. 1.0 only flopped cause of all the restrictions on leveling and such... who wants to play a game with only a 15 hour window for the week to level. (though there were MANY ways to rapidly level and feel like you bypassed that restriction) THIS ISN'T something to be expected in an release day. We have THOUSANDS who can't get on.. SE deserves to be reported to the Better Buisness Bureau. If by the 29th I still can't log on properly I WILL report them. They will deserve to have their reputation ruined.
Please give us the queue!! I would like to play this awesome game but can't cause of the 1017. Plus, I agree on kicking afk people off after a certain amount of time to give others a chance to play.

For this I do agree with you that hurting a business's bottom line does get their attention very quickly and usually gets results. However they are not always positive results. If too many players decided they simply want refunds for the game and SE gets financial reports showing that FF14 is not longer considered profitable to maintain then the game will never get better. Most likely their losses will be cut, FF14 will be designated a failure, people will get fired, and us players will have lost a very good game. I don't want that to happen.But does that kind of award or bonus really affect how SE would do things in the future? Digital "bonus/awards" don't affect the bottom line of a big company like SE and the bottom line is what really brings attention to the people in charge who can make changes (and make them happen fast!)
