    Final Fantasy XIV in 3D?????

ok well I'm thinking of purchasing a 3D monitor but I have tried searching for info on ffXIV in 3D but to my surprise, I find very little to no information at all regarding the game in 3D. Tanaka clearly had a demo of FFXIV in 3D at E3 last year. So I guess my question is, is does this game support 3D or not? I've seen other forums discuss this vaguely. So if I do decide to throw down the cash to play the game in 3D, does it have settings to change it to 3D or does the monitor and the glasses just do everything without need to change any settings?

I know a few ppl who are playing in 3D but you really need a good PC you have to run the game 60fps +60fps at least that what i saw on some websites.

    what your set up?

oh and the UI is not really set for 3D so your head may start hurting when playing to long in 3D lol.

    AMD phenom quad core 2.20ghz

But I can run the game on high settings and keep the 50-60fps on 720p resolution.

I have a 3D Vision setup. While I'm not always playing FFXIV in 3D, when I do, it's breathtaking each time. The game engine is made with stereoscopic 3D gaming in mind, and it shows. You don't have to do anything other than install the 3D Vision drivers. When in-game you can control the 3D depth with the 3D Vision USB dongle.

I don't have any experience going the AMD 3D way, but Nvidia's 3D Vision and FFXIV is stunning.

Edit: As Zenaku says, you got to have a quite beefy PC. I run with GTX 460 in SLI @ 800Mhz and a Core i7 930 @ 4Ghz and I have to downscale the graphic settings quite a bit when 3D gaming.

I wonder if there even is an ATI 3D way? everything I look up only pulls up Nvidia 3D vision.

So i'm guessing that even if I do have a 3D monitor and glasses it wont make much difference without the proper hardware/drivers?

thx for the info Jamel That makes me feel a little better about the AMD 3D solution , but I guess I'll just have to get the 3D TV and glasses to see if it works since not many people have really tested it.
