Does the patcher suck for you all too, or is it just me?

I'm curious how SE could possibly be satisfied with this DLer? Please! Before you go fixing more bugs and such, fix the downloader, its horrendous and there's no reason it shouldn't be improved.

Honestly I don't have ANY problems with the patcher. This could be due to a high internet speed though, so really I can't claim to know. But yea, sucks that some people have trouble

It's ridiculous. I always start trying to download the patch as soon as it's available BECAUSE I know it will take this long. It's going to be midnight before I get to mess with the things everyone else gets to that had been uploading from me. -. -

True, except I never find out about patches until the day after. I honestly didn't know "server maintanence= patch", but I do now. Look at it this way, we'll still be able to play the game eventually, we just have to wait longer than other people. I wonder if the patcher will be better before the PS3 version is released. Imagine the uproar when that happens.

It finished and installed.

The patcher is really working me over today. It's 3 1/2 hours after servers came back up and I'm stuck on 78.3%.

this isnt an isolated thing with a few people

the servers are empty right now still, alot of people im being told cant get on cuz of the patching

never had a problem at all till today now ive been stuck trying to update for 5hours .... usually takes me 20mins or less depending on update size. This updater blows ass. PLEASE FOR !@!@!@## sake fix this crap.

A few hours ago, when I first started up the FFXIV Patcher, it was stuck at 0.0% and did not move at all for about 20 minutes. It said my download would take about 8 hours to complete. Now, I am stuck at 58.2% and it is downloading at about 3 kb/s. Remaining time says over 3 hours.

Edit: Port forwarding is still enabled, used to work nicely ever since open beta testing times.

Edit-edit: Now it is at 0 kb/s. This is frustrating. FFXI had a simple patch downloader, why can't FFXIV have the same thing? But of course all the trolls are going to say, "But that will make it into FFXI-2!"
