On the ball as always? Hah! More like "if this launch goes off with any major problems this MMO is done and we wasted millions of dollars". Right now SE could care less about us players. They're scared to death the game is gonna look bad and people will just ignore it given the reputation 1.0 had. People are trying to play it for reviews ATM and these game breaking issues isn't exactly a good selling point. They're scrambling like crazy to fix it because first impressions are lasting ones and FF14 is playing on super thin ice. This better be fixed today or I see another flop. (And I absolutely love 2.0, ya know except for the bugs they keep completely ignoring.)

Like this man has said, if this isn't fixed for tomorrow, FF14:ARR's future is going to be a very, very dark future. The press has a lot of power over MMOs because a lot of people decide to buy them or not depending on reviews. And "a completely unplayable early access due to bugs and overloaded servers" isn't a really nice selling point.

1st i love the game im staying regardless but i agree with this lots of people will quit and go other places not that it matters lev has too many as it is lol

Hey, neither is the press telling people to go out and buy/support an MMO simply because of its beta but they do it. This is why gaming was much better before the internet largely - people were able to think for themselves.

No MMO has a flawless launch, not one textbook MMORPG.

Actually, GW2 was pretty flawless if memory serves. But yes, in general, this is pretty standard, though it is becoming less common for companies that actually invest in network logistics.
