So I was refunded the 59.99 and my service says it was expired on 8/23 but I haven't gotten a voucher/message to re-download the CE. Should I use my refund to get the SE?

No just wait.

Now, I'm OK with the new purchase of Standard Edition from refund. Playing EA and don't care about free CE anymore, just wait to upgrade later when Square open the upgrade to CE system.
But I'm wondering that the free game code they will send us via XMB is locked for our PSN only or not? Can I give or sell that code to my friends?
PS. Still didn't get any message or code. If I'm not purchase the SE one and waiting for it, It can make crazy to WAIT, WAIT and WAIT!

I was on the phone with Sony earlier this afternoon and the Rep told me we should see something Sunday or Monday. Most likely Monday.
No message or code here too.![]()
I really hope this is fixed at launch. I'll start freaking out if i can't play at launch.
Have they started working on this issue?
I fixed it. I followed these instructions. I had gotten a 3108 because after I redeemed my code from Amazon, I accidentally created a new service account. The PS3 screen showed my Legacy account info and the only button was 'create new account', so I confusingly clicked it... because the real button was off the bottom of the screen, and you have to manually use the gamepad like a mouse and scroll down. So, let me get this straight. As for Legacy status players (who really have the Legacy icon on their SE profile and have only one SE account, so there's no misconfiguration between accounts), and who are getting the "No valid or active service account" error, we need to do the following?
1) purchase the game
2) launch it without downloading it and start playing
3) request a refund
4) wait until the final release, after Early Access, to get our bonus Legacy status items
And this is true whether it's from Playstation Network or Amazon or whatever vendor? Is that correct? Is PSN reliable for getting refunds, and they'll refund a game which remains installed?
So we were supposed to have just been able to log in directly, as we had done in the beta phase, but there's some bug? And I don't have to link my PSN account to my SE account? I didn't, because I don't know what that does, or why it could be needed, and I don't know where to do it anyway.
I have not received anything from SE or PSN in my messages inbox on my PS3, but it sounds like that's only for people who had purchased ARR (not Legacy status?). Unsurprisingly, I have received no response to my ticket filed at 5am CDT with Square Enix.
Thanks.
EDIT: I just called PSN and they said they have no notes on the issue of legacy transfers, and that refunds are only taken on a case-by-case basis, so don't rely on that at PSN. I checked Amazon and they claim to have Early Access as a "bonus offer", but don't buy the downloadable version because those aren't refundable.
EDIT: I just tried this. It creates a new FFXIV service account. It'll give you the option to import the appearance of your previous character (in my case, from beta phase 4), but it'll make you otherwise start over from scratch. So, given that I have a pretty good Legacy character at level 37 (and a few level 15 jobs), a Goobbue, a Chocobo whistle, and a pile of money, I have to say "forget this!" and call Square Enix on Monday. *fuming*
And the result is that now I can log in but then when I select my Legacy account, I get error 3108, saying that my account is registered on another platform (Windows) and can't be used on this platform (PS3). I had started Legacy status on Windows, obviously, since that was the only platform at the time. This is incomprehensible.
Do not create a new service account!
Sorry, Amazon; maybe you should beat the heck out of Square Enix to get them to properly provision their customers and partners on their next product launch.
