NPC Lost and Found: Who survived the Calamity? (No/little Spoilers)

So I'm having a hard time matching NPCs from 1.0 to the ones in ARR. That could be my poor memory at work. I'm pretty curious about who is still around in ARR, especially those who were central in older storylines pre-Dalamud, like class questlines.

Who have we found? Who can we confirm died?

Please do not use this thread to discuss revelations brought to us by the new main story. Even with spoiler tags, it is a little awkward. Stuff in trailers is fair game. As is whatever happened in 1.0, of course.

Ul'dah wise the only definitive name I know that is dead is Eolande, who was a member of the Syndicate and owner of Frondale's Phrontistery. I didn't get that far so maybe it's explained how, but only thing I read was she died during the Calamity.

I don't know how to tell you who from 1.X is still alive in ARR while not discussing knowledge sourced from ARR. I ... I could start a list, I guess? But... then, but I don't... how do I... is that...

That said, I'm not really sure what's what yet. I was waiting until the database sites had the full NPC list for launch before I compared it to their old data.

Soliene (sp?), from the Conjurer's guild is no longer there. No mention that I recall if she survived or not..assuming she didn't.

Unless there is a definite lore-drop, it would be wrong to assume someone has died just because they're missing. But we CAN look at who has survived and how they have changed.

For example, Nicolaux is now the "big kid" at the Oak Atrium.

E-Sumi-Yan has also become a resident guildmaster of Stillglade Fane rather than roaming the wood as a senior hearer.

Frediswitha is still at the Drybone Aetheryte!

Most if not all older somewhat important npc's got relocated to other places. Like the lalafell blacksmith guildmaster is now found at one of the Aetheryte hubs. The one where they build ships. I do hope I get to see him again with his three women in the class quests related to BSM . And I've seen many other npc's at other locations.

Mithra dancers in the miners guild are now in the middle of uldah.

The Azeyma preacher from Gridania is also in Drybone. Not sure how he got there though.

It seems to me that more people are dying now than in the attack from the Bahamut Especially in Thanalan. Between the refugee crisis, kidnappings and tempering by Ifrit, and constant attacks from the Amal'jaa, Ul'dah is looking to be a weaker city-state than all the rest. Limsa looks idyllic in comparison.

Cicely is at the BTN Guild, as is Keelty at the ARC guild. Both had main roles in their respective 1.0 class questline.
