Been trying to talk to the GMs about this and they say to use blacklist but quite literally this guy makes like 12-20+ more every day and some people's blacklists are about... 120-130+ slots full of just HIM.



Can something be done about this? Because it is one thing if its like 2-3 but it is getting out of hand at this point and it's pretty much been happening for years now on a bunch of different servers but it just depends on if you're unlucky enough to be chosen by this one guy making dozens of alts.

They're not breaking any rules as far as rules are concerned.

To answer this question, you must ask several. Only then you will arrive at the results and gain a deeper understanding of the situation itself and why it continues.

• Is it breaking any rules or the ToS?: The answer as stated by tsuchii in a prior reply is no. To my knowledge having multiple characters is not breaking anything so the devs and GMs can do nothing about them for simply existing.
• Do we have physics in this game? The answer to this question is also no. Your character does not obstruct the movement of other players and from what can be seen, these characters are standing in the city but not deliberately obstructing a certain NPC with malicious intentions.
• Is there any monetary value received by the player?: The answer is no. Unlike bots who stand to gain from breaking the ToS and harming other players. This person is simply standing in a city, not obstructing any NPC or progression, nor is doing anything noteworthy aside from standing and afking.
• What's the purpose of the act? By deducing from the other answers. We can conclude that the purpose of this action is purely driven by sentimental value, most likely an attention seeking behaviour.

The answer leads to another question. How can we deal with it then? Simple! If the community stopped giving him attention, and pretended he doesn't exist, then he'd likely cease doing it. Even a negative attention (complaining) is still considered an attention that some people want to thrive on, and by cutting that they'd have no reason to continue doing so.

I'd just rather see them implement an unlimited Blacklist, or at the very least increase it to 500, or more.

It's bad enough my mute list and blacklist are both full of this guy, RMT, and trolls.

As long as there not bothering people or spamming shout or purposely blocking npcs why does one guy having 20 characters bother you. I dont see people complaining about the jades on famfrit on primal when they also have the same amount of characters as weeaboo police and stand between the 2 limsa marketboards. What does weeaboo police do that makes people complain about them but not the jades lol.
