Eos, overall brings more than Selene, which has been tested and calculated that BLM gets the most benefit from Selene and that is about a 1% DPS increase, Whereas Eos allows the SCH to DPS even more. Not to mention, like in t13, Fey Covenant for giggleflare saves a aetherstack for other uses.

I don't understand where this concept that a good healer isn't expected to DPS. If you are sitting on plenty of mana (which any healer in any of these dungeons will always be) and are twiddling your thumbs as you wait for the overgeared tank to actually take enough damage to need a heal then you are not a good healer.
You are free to believe that you don't have to DPS as a healer all you want, but you are going to be considered bad at your job just as I would consider a tank that doesn't bother to get out of AEs or face enemies away from the rest of the party a bad tank regardless of how good they are at holding hate.
As for the OP: Any good Bard that actually uses Foe's is going to ask why the healer isn't bothering to take advantage of the song. You got kicked for a stupid reason. -

I have been playing this game for over a year now, like many people on these forums, and I have never been kicked from a party.
Why? Because I know how to play games with other people without forgetting social etiquette.
Things you could have done to make the situation better:
1.) Not communicated with a single word. In almost every situation, one-word questions/commands/requests are rude and abrasive. In fact, there is a word for it: "curt." Wait for the pull to be over, and then engage in polite conversation.
2.) Not told someone how to play their role for your own convenience. There is a line between being a senior player mentor, and being a know-it-all overbearing jerk. The line is hard to find sometimes, but a good place to start is usually when everyone is dead. And the line is certainly far before "Holy?"
3.) Played the game without trying to micromanage your party. It kind of goes hand in hand with the last point, but your philosophy on what your role is within the team is totally skewed. You're not the Tactician Supervisor that is going to get fired from your job if your General Manager doesn't like how long your runs are taking. Some runs are going to take longer than others, but as long as you make it through (heck, even if you don't), everything is going to be okay.
You acted selfishly in a team-based activity. I wouldn't kick you out in their situation, but I certainly would hope that we wouldn't party together again. "This is the internet" and "I could have been worse if I wanted to" are also terrible excuses for anything. You weren't polite, and certainly weren't being the "protagonist" you seem to be trying to portray yourself as. -

We have Trinity for a reason, we are all given a specific roles to fulfil. Anything outside the already appointed role is just a bonus and should be treated as such. That is needed in progression, especially with FCoB due to the very tight DPS checks while progressing and gearing up. That's some high level of sensitivity right there and that's what the thread was about. I respect the healer role the most in any game, if they want to heal only, so be it, that is their primary role after all.
If they choose to dps too grats to them and ty for the help but don't ask for it, they are well aware they have holy no need to bring it up imo they will use it if they are comfortable enough all on their own. -

Seeing that the healer and the tank are in the same FC, this might not necessarily apply but when I heal and don't know the tank, I usually give it 1-2 mobs to see how he can hold a few hits. There are too many squishy tanks out there thinking their role is to DPS or they are PLD with Warrior complexes.
Going on, I will dps when I feel confident the tank won't die from being looked at too hard or if the fight allows me the additional mp.
I don't consider myself sensitive (though I might rant about you behind my screen) but online communities or not, one-word communication leaves too much room for interpretation. Make sure to make a real sentence next time like:
"Feel free to use holy if you want"
For me, this leaves the decision with the healer (as it should) while you make your point clear. Not everyone has the ability to split their duties and holy cast time can be tricky (assuming swiftcast is on CD). -

Myself, if I'm not holy-ing, it's because I don't feel good but still need to cap. Or currently, because I'm working on zodiac. If I'm not feeling good and I don't need to dungeon, I wont. But sometimes it's unavoidable.
I've been in parties before where I was harassed for not holy-ing 8+ mobs. I told them I didn't feel well and it would be best that I didn't because my reaction times would be crap. They didn't care. Started off like "Holy?" I said, "Nah. Don't feel too well." Which they responded with, "That's too bad. You chose to run a dungeon, and it's part of your job. Besides, if you do your full job the dungeon will be over faster and you can go be sick somewhere else."
There was more to it than that, but eventually they apologized and said, "Look. Just try it, okay? If I die because you couldn't react fast enough, that will be the end of it. We'll continue and you can just heal. Good enough?" I agreed, and they weren't able to do more than 2 big pulls without dying. The only reason the first one worked was because of Benediction. And of course the whole ordeal made us take longer than if they'd have simply allowed me to just heal.
So I don't know. On a good day, I'd be reasonable about it. If, like you and them, someone said, "Holy?" I'd say "Sure", or "kay". But on the days where I don't feel well, I'd assume a simple, "Holy?" would lead to another argument and not want to deal with it. -

Real examples. One BLM was using Fire 1 on packs of mobs, I gave advice that Fire 2 is better for when there is more than 3 mobs, BLM thanked me and started using Fire 2. Next csae. BLM using fire 3, blizz 3, fire 3, blizz 3, repeat repeat, nothing else. Helpful advice about rotation, all I got was abuse back, saying he knew his role and that I should STFU, then he continued to insult until we had to kick even though I didn't say anything after, just shrugged and continued. Depends how OP said it to the healer. He doesn't have a screenshot of what he said so we can't really be certain he just said, "holy?"
Not trying to be a dick, think its best to go through all PoVs.
But warranted people can be extremely sensitive in the game but like I said before, it depends on the situation. I've had my moments where I tell someone a bit of advice, and get snapped at.
Anyhow OP best thing to do is move on from it. If your on your healer, you can do the deeps. If you see a lazy healer you can just pray they aren't on your server.
I generally think if the healer keeps the PT alive and you DON'T have to abandon - it is going to be a smooth run. It may not be as fast, but at least your not abandoning at the last boss, and having to wait another hour for requeue. -

I'm of the stance that healers shouldn't necessarily DPS - but it would very much be appreciated... as long as they didn't tunnel vision (though I admit to doing that now and then when I'm tired or just having one of those days). Only time I highly expect it is if it's a tight DPS check - Odin's Zenkahfjkgk thing, AK HM's walls/jester boss, WoD's clouds, Chrysalis' Tear (once they realize whats going on o_O *had somehow?? gotten lost first time in even after watching vid*), etc
If I don't know the tank, I observe first before running in. If it's just two enemies, I'll conserve all that mp and just aero one and concentrate on the other. If I seem to steal aggro with the holys and it's not my friends (I admit to tearing aggro off now and then, but with friends/FC it doesn't really matter to us unless it's a huge problem), I'll keep off. Maybe plop a holy or two in for stuns or to help lower some group hp, but back off (unless I know I'm going to be eating the mob anyway, like regen on tank and spawning adds on bosses, then why not holy?). But I don't require another healer to holy on the rare occasion that I'm on dps.
When I'm on my bard - if they seem to be a WHM that is holying THEN I play Foes - not the other way around. I follow their comfort level.
If someone told me "holy?" I'd probably feel like another said - that it feels a little curt - but I wouldn't kick the person for it. Thats really over the top >.> -

Everything you said can be inverted and it's just as reasonable, people don't want to wait an hour to clear something that should take less than half that for anyone who is even half paying attention. Cleric Stance, Aero, Aero II, Stone II, and Holy are all innate, naturally obtained skills. Hell, even the NPCs tell you your job as a healer is to do more than just heal. I'm a new player and a new 50 WHM. As in within the last few weeks new. Even running with my FC I have a little bit of performance anxiety when it comes to mechanics and doing what "I should" be doing. In PF it's much worse. As healers we are wrong no matter what we do. DPS too much? Kicked. Don't DPS enough? Kicked. One guy dies because you were two seconds late in saving him from his screw up? Kicked. (No, I'm not kicked constantly. These are just examples.)
For me personally, I would love if party members would tell me what they want ahead of time. Or politely mention something so I'm doing better. Nine times out of ten though, everyone is silent until you mess up. So I think the OP did right in trying to address the situation. Though they could have said it in a different way or at a better time like between pulls. Perhaps the healer took it as the OP being aggressive. Adding "please" would have saved the OP the boot. However asking for holy spam is not a reason to be kicked. -

it is not an exaggeration to say that the best way to get along with randoms is to shut up and say absolutely nothing - because we tolerate this type of antisocial behavior.
For example, queued up for Expert Roulette a few weeks ago. It had been a while since I last played and I died in an AoE I was expecting to be able to stun. The key point here, is that I forgot Holy stuns. So the healer comments on my death, saying I could try not to stand in things. And I quickly retort that people could just not use stun in their rotation.
Obviously I realize Holy stuns after opening my big mouth and explained that I forgot and was expecting to be able to stun the aoe. This is not personal for me, but the healer is obviously very offended even though I have already apologized and said "my bad" etc. but they just wanted to keep going on and on and on when there was nothing else to discuss.
It's like, at no point was this vulgar or personal on my end, but the healer was just so ridiculously upset about it. =|
They could have kicked me, they probably wanted to. Just because I had a fucking momentary lapse in judgment. It was such a shitty feeling to leave with. I hate it when people try to justify an attitude that make 4 man dungeons an environment where we are all walking on thin ice, it is not good for the game. -

I ask healers all the time, "Are you just going to use cure 1?". I don't care if their feelings are hurt or not. That question does not violate the ToS so I have a right to ask it. If that is all they are going to do, it changes my strategy. I have a right to try and perform as optimally as possible when tanking whether or not that optimization greatly impacts the duty or not.
