There is no way to contact the Developers directly. You will have to either contact the GM’s in-game or go to the Customer Support, who you can contact here:
Support Center - EU:
Contact us
Report Bugs or Offending Players
Support Center - NA:

Report Bugs or Offending Players
thanks yeah that is the one I keep submitting tickets to, Though they keep telling me its outside of a gm's service and that the dev's are the only ones who could help me. I played a game called RIFT since 2011 till recently off and on between FF ARR and I had this same issue on that game that the gm's were able to fix in seconds because trion owned the game they said. So if SE owns FF ARR and its pay to play they should be able to do the same thing if not more I am thinking...
Explain what the issue is. This seems fishy.
The Customer Support is meant to handle issues a customer has. The customer should never (have to) contact the Developer directly. If the customer is experiencing an issue, it’s the job of the Customer Support Agent to relay the issue to the appropriate party (for instance the FFXIV Team). It should never be up to the customer to contact a developer directly for assistance.
That is what should happen, but what i’ve read on the forums, that’s not always the case and customers have been forwarded to the forums to make their issues know. On the other hand, the issue you are experiencing might be already being discusses/addressed.
If you are having technical issues concerning your account (for instance when it comes to payment), take a look at the Technical Support section of the forum, which you can find here:
Technical Support Section
If the issue is related to the game and can be considered to be a bug, you should make a post about it in the Bug Reports section of the forum, which you can find here:
Bug Reports Section
I believe that an e-mail address exists to report complaints you might have in regards to the way your inquiry was handled by the customer support, so that the FFXIV team can improve their customer support procedures internally. However, i can’t seem to find it through the search feature on the forums…
Maybe a Community Rep can assist there? /hint /hint (^_~ )
oh you are the guy who wanted his DoL restarted to lvl1, if that's what you want i'm afraid there's nothing they can do, to change something related to your character development they would have to use a "back door" but devs rarely put back doors on MMOs because they lead to hack, and even if there were they would never use it for customer support.
Take what the OP says with a grain of salt. This guy spends most of his in-game time shouting in Mor Dhona asking silly questions like this one. He's the same now as he was months ago before he left the game. You can give him a perfectly good answer and he'll keep going and going...
When I saw the thread title and how he wasn't going to type out the issue, I figured it was something dumb.
I didn't make this post to be trolled but yes I figured since when I played RIFT I had a GM reset my alchemy because it was an off number and I didn't wish to have it anymore they were able to, I was trying to have a gathering skill reset to 0 to match the others to make it right is all since it is tacky looking for a skill that I wont use to be of a number that has no value to me and for me it makes something feel off to me or unbalanced, I do not expect others to understand my number issues but they are important to me.
And for those that choose to troll me on something I am asking, This is not a trolling post I simply was asking about how to reach a dev since I figured they would be able to 0 out my miner skill. If RIFT a f2p game can do it I figured SE would be able to as well.
I have no words for this.
It's like asking for the office address of a congressman because the stop sign in your neighborhood is crooked.
Just OCD your all your classes to max like I did. It's a lot more useful than you would think to be able to gather/craft anything you want... We'll the basic stuff anyway. Starred recipes actually require lots of time or money to get all the materia.
OCD much? You will just have to level it to the first acceptable number for you or delete your whole char and start over.
If you want to communicate directly with a developer, there are a few hoops you'll have to jump through:
First, you'll need to learn to speak Japanese if you aren't fluent already.

Next, move to Japan.

Find out which of SE's buildings the developers primarily work from, and try to get a job there.
http://img.finalfantasyxiv.com/lds/b...5_300400_P.jpg
If you can't get hired, then hang around outside the door of the building. You could even bring a friend and do it Jay-and-Silent-Bob style.

As soon as you see one of the developers leave the building, stop him and ask the questions you want to ask. If he tries to run, chase him down.

That would be madness to start over at this rate, Now I just came back and tried to once but have you seen how rough it is to find fate groups like we did way back at start? Also I have the lightning hair added to this character and that was from the event and I would lose all of what ive worked so hard on.
I just love it, So good im laughing so hard it hurts

So if RIFT jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?
I mean they're totally the same. They don't have different engines, dev teams, codebases, databases, servers, systems...oh.
No way I love final fantasy, I got sick of RIFT. I started that one in 2011 and quit many times due to lack of interest. I just hear some people ingame a few I know saying that miner and other DoL's are not worth even grabbing since they say you can not make money in them. I was told by the support that I could make a post here and ask about it so I just dont want to be trolled for something I am chatting about.
...Botanist/Miner are good jobs you can make money off.......
I'm still wondering why you made this post though, not to be rude or anything. Whoever told you Miners can't make much money, they're wrong.
Also, if you don't want to level it, simply don't level it anymore? I mean. That's the most logical thing to do, yes?
Sorry that everyone's so hard on you about this, I'm sure most of those people have never had to deal with any sort of mental Illness that truly affects them. I hope this gets sorted out for you, and please don't let the negativity in this forum bring you down. It's a long shot but try sending a letter to Yoshi, I've seen a few forum posts where people have actually gotten a response( even if it's not directly from Yoshi himself, and it may take a long while). Just explain to him your situation, I'm sure it will be taken more seriously, and with this many people being rude about it I'm sure it won't be taken seriously in the forums. Best wishes.
Thank you, Yeah tbh if I could just be chill with it I would but its so small but for some reason it bothers me all out but I do not want to delete my character over it (as someone told me) I have worked hard on my toon and quests and stuff. Your words are nice and wondered if a Mod could lock this post? I don't want to be trolled over something I deal with on a day to day basis. Thanks
I was about to jump in here and offer support because I thought that I knew what your issue was but... yea you are just trolling.
For those who might not be aware, Rift has a system in which they detect your IP - if it changes after login (such in the case of my office where we have multiple connections configured with load balancing) it would often not allow you to play the game. I had this issue, and a quick chat with a technical support rep corrected the problem. They just reset my account to not use this feature. Since I had a token, it wasn't really needed anyway. That's what I thought the OP was talking about with needing a very specific support person to do.
But seriously, you want them to reset your character's miner level to 0? Gosh, just make a new character and have them ALL reset to 0. Don't waste developer time with personal RP preference stuff. They are there for technical support of the game.
That's just what i supposed so i gave him a serious answer, The devs haven't adapted the game for colorblind players so don't expect them to help whit an OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) case, rift may have a rollback service or worse, a back door to modify a character, i have never heard or don't remember anything about rollbacks in this game, other than inventory ones to retrieve lost items, and i really hope they don't use back doors.
You will have to solve it by yourself OP, about the lightning event, well, looks like they will do one every year, the next one is close, and it's not hard to catch up in this game unless you do coil, so if you're considering a new char as an option, the time now.
I haven't seen the silly shouts in game, I thought OP quit.
I do at least give them props for altering the ground AOE's. When they were red I could still see them, but on certain topographies it was tough. Now I have no problem at all seeing them.
But doing Garuda HM as a DPS back when 2.0 came out was very tough for me. I can't tell the difference between those lines, and back when you were doing that fight in half darklight/half AF gear, every second of indecision mattered. I would either have to do the fight with friends in vchat so they could tell me which line was green, or wait in a PUG until I saw which one was getting damaged first. The impairment never caused a wipe, but it was annoying as all hell having to deal with that.
I mean they wouldn't even need to change the colors for that scenario. Make one line straight and another curvy, or one solid and one dotted. It's not as big of a deal now because when a DF gives you 6/8 i110's the fight is a pushover, but it still alienates a percentage of the playerbase. I pride myself in knowing how to handle my job/role for all mechanics in all situations. This particular design decision with garuda HM makes me feel helpless and I absolutely hate that.
Hmm, if they did I still couldn't tell the difference. I tanked it a few weeks ago to get my PLD relic and I still had no clue. So if there was a change implemented it didn't help me any. I just grabbed both adds and kept them away from Garuda, since tanking it in i90 is still pretty easy. I would be very curious, if there was a change implemented, exactly what was changed. I like Trials roulette and have gotten Garuda HM several times since they changed the AOE ground indicators and all I ever hear is "DPS focus green", not "DPS focus broken line".
I've kind of trained myself to not even look at the lines anymore, but I always glance at them right when the adds spawn because there isn't anything else to look at during that moment :p Whatever change, if any, wasn't deliberate enough. And my color blindness is nowhere near as bad as some others I have met.
The lines were indeed changed in HM, but it didn't do much good. EX doesn't have this problem at all, because Chirada always gives the regen and Suparna always gives the damage and shield.
SE also changed something with T9 golems to help colorblind players, but I don't think it did any good. I don't see how I could tell them apart with a glance if I didn't see colors.
You guys have to give a break to the OP, he is not trying to troll. He just have a condition where he can't deal with numbers that feel off. One of my FC friends have something similar but with colors. He would wear all AF gear or all Allagan gear because one was green and the other one was blue. It would drive him crazy to have a mix color on his character window. So he never has BIS for any of his classes, he is extremely happy that he does not have that problem with the new allagan or AF gear. There are a lot of people in the world that have to deal with things that we consider simple but for them it makes them feel odd or incomplete and drives them crazy until is fix.
OP I don't think the Devs will do what you need for a single player but they may. So far I have not hear of the Devs going out of their way for a player. OP have you send a GM a message explaining your complete situation and how you won't feel stable in the game?
The healing add is still green, and has a thicker line. The other add's line is some kind of light gray or something, and is somewhat thinner, with breaks in it. It's not an enormous difference, it's just the healing add's line is very visible, and the other is somewhat less so. I'd guess it's a slight improvement for colorblind players, while it's a downgrade for everyone else, so the playing field's a bit more even, just not in the right way. :P
In early beta, the green/yellow/orange/red aggro level dots on the enmity list were all the same size and shape. Good times. They do, sometimes, get things right, but it's obviously not something they think about with every design.
Again, I am not here trolling and I only made this post to ask something and that is my right. If I have to report those that are internet bullying aka breaking the tos I will. Can a GM please close this thread, Seems many people do not know how to just be nice and chat without putting others down,
Thank you
There are varying degrees of color blindness, but hardly any of them are so severe as to where you can't see colors at all. The more common problem is shades of colors resembling each other. A person who isn't color blind would think "How in the world could you mistake green for red?!", and most of the time I can tell them apart just fine. I see the different colors at a traffic light, because the hues are very different from each other. They are not so distinct for the Garuda HM lines.
As for T9 golems, my static only started learning that turn a few weeks ago, and I'm sure the fix you are talking about went into effect before then, but it must be a fix that actually worked because I have absolutely no problem differentiating between the golems. As BRD I pop all CDs and tank the first blue one, that would never work if I had any doubts :) But even for the golems, the red and green ones are easily distinguishable for me as well. Maybe the small size of the Garuda HM lines play a part in my problem with that specific mechanic as well.
Much appreciated. Next time I'm in Garuda HM I'll look for that and see if it helps me any.
edit: I just realized how far we have de-railed the OP topic. Sorry for that ;-;
