20 second heavy while on mount, whats the point?
I know its an old topic, but its a daily annoyance still.
First off, the enemies are dangerous. Even if they are 10 level above you, you are unlikely to die before running them off.
If I dismount and kill the enemy, I have at least 10 seconds of heavy left still.
If I ignore the enemy, it de-aggros at anywhere form 10-15 seconds of heavy left.
So...what is the point of this? It adds nothing, it doesn't make it more dangerous, its just a sometimes frustrating way too long slow tagged on to annoy you. If you have to have a slow applied when hit...why 20 seconds? Even if enemies were actually dangerous enough we had to stop and fight, we would die form being unable to dodge the entire fight.

Stopping to fight is pointless and makes it take longer since you will still be slowed. Keep going and your annoyingly slowed for no reason.
If it's an open area, go around them. If it's in a crowded area like beastmen strongholds, I think it's plenty advantage that you can actually stay on your mount. It's weird enough that people can mount in the whole stronghold and the enemies can't even stop 1 chocobo lol.
And most of the time, even heavied, you can still outrun enemies. In some games, heavied = slower than walking speed.
The only gripe about this is that it doesn't have a diminishing return.

Course I'm also a bit surprised this game doesn't have any high lvl zones yet, we already have areas with "elite" mobs in the open world (giant marbols outside haukke manor). Don't really understand why they dont have an area that has these in abundance for lvl 50. Always remembered seeing these kinds of areas and knowing someone was strong by just by fact they were there while solo.
With how slow the heavy is, being dismounted, then killing or running off the enemy and remounting would be FASTER than the current 20 sec molasses movement.
It does not add any feel of danger, as the enemies pose no threat, and is in fact, actually worse than a random dismount mechanic. it poses no point in its current form.

This is pretty much right, and as above point its amusing its actually worse than other games mechanics, and if the world WAS dangerous the heavy would get you killed if you dismounted due to dodging. It lasts too long for a dangerous world, and serves no purpose to the current world.
