Hey Reinhart, been meaning to ask, seeing your sentence structure and your sometimes awkward use of words in some of the translations and whatnot, is English your second language? Not trying to diss on your work, but sometimes I do have to read through your translations twice because of the way some of it is worded.

Not really sure how to answer this one lol
Grew up in Japan was learning Japanese and some English till I was 14 then suddenly parents decided to move to US and ended up trying to learn English so I'm not good with both Japanese or English really... I could read/write both languages and prefer to use Japanese in most cases... but for sentence structure or grammar... I know I suck badly in both languages lol.

If anything if you guys want to help me out fix up how I should say stuff would appreciate it... was hoping I can learn better this time while I help my sons homework and stuff once he starts getting into those.

Either way I should of studied better in school so no excuses really, it's my own fault for being a lazy *** in school :p

Well it's not bad honestly since I've seen your posts on the Japanese forums as well -- It's 2 tough languages to translate to and from so don't be hard on yourself in that regard lol. I'm still brushing up on my English xD.

Hello, Reinheart.

After patch 1.20b I'm experiencing an annoying glitch with the sky, a known issue but that never happened permanently and in every area of Eorzea like now.
I talk about it here and I also made a video, viewable here.

I'd like to ask you if on the Japanese forum someone else is having the problem after patch 1.20b. Have you read anything about that? Sorry for asking it here, but I had no other way.

Long time ago remember seeing Japanese thread on those it was glitch in the system and I believe reinstalling the game fixed it for some but it's been a while so not really sure and tried searching but not coming up ><

Sorry but I'm not going to start a thread on JP side as I did something like that before and I think the reps weren't too happy about it. I'm sure the forum admins or the Reps on NA forums saw your thread and looking into it. 当初はアクションバーにアクションバーのポップアップヘルプON/OFFのアイコンを入れる予定だったのですが、
仕組み上、アクションバーには入れることができなかったため、
アクションバーになるべく近いコンソールトレイに追加を行いました。
フィードバックありがとうございました。
Original plan was to have the popup help for the action bar help in the action bar but due to the structure this was not possible and therefore we added the icon in the console tray which was closest to the action bar.

People were also talking about increasing more macro lines and all that so I added a comment in there to see if the devs can implement a macro save feature from your equipment screen. In 2.0 it will automatically save your gear data but for temporary up till 2.0 and something that can be done with least amount of cost to implement.

macro save feature is simple easy feature for users who don't know how to write macro's and all that. All you do is the following.

1. Go to equipment/gear screen and put on the gear you want to equip
2. Have a new macro save button on this same screen, by clicking on it, it will ask which macro spot to save and what name to give. And the system does the rest for you so you don't have to type /equip mh _____ /equip body ____ and all that.

Only issue with this one is since our macro has only 10 lines (? at work so don't remember, I think was 10) so if you have accessories dunno how the system will handle that.

はい、まさにこの通りの仕様を予定しています。
基本のレシピは、製作可能レベルになったらリストに載るようになります。
その他にもリーヴ・クエストなどでしか入手できないレシピも想定しており、
それらは取得した時点でリストに追加されるようになります。
We are planning exactly what you mentioned.
Basic recipes will be on the recipe once you reach the level to craft them.
Also planning recipes where you can only obtain from leve or quests, for those once you obtain them it will be added to the list.

yes, this is also the idea.
Once you choose the item from recipe list it will automatically set the required items and you can start crafting from there.

ここまでの内容が新生ローンチ時に実装され、
ゲーム内でのレシピの検索機能強化などは、その後フィードバックを頂きながら実装を検討していく予定です。
Up till this point will be what will be available at 2.0's launch and we will also look into features such as search feature in-game to look up recipes, and other upgrades from your feedbacks.

If the character name or world changed parts of Lodestone will automatically be updated but for history it will carry over.

The last part sounds like even if you had to change your name your history will show the old characters name, pretty sure some one going to complain about this too... just like every other small changes....

I think the server's home player should take priority over date because it might be the case that the player purposely create a character on that server since the name is available. But yeah in the end someone's gonna have to change, hope it doesn't happen to too much people :>

In XI they did it so that the character on the home server kept their name no matter what.

新生では装備やアクション同様に、マクロもすべてクラスごとに自動保存されるようになり、クラス共通で使用するマクロについては、別途領域をわけ、どのクラスであっても使用できるような仕組みにするなどベースから作り直しが行われます。
With 2.0 just like actions the base will be reprogrammed so the macro's will also be saved per class and for macro's to be used with other classes will have another section for it where any class can use.

また、現行版でもマクロの保存できる数が少ないことは開発チームでも認識していますので、保存できる数を増やす方向で検討を行っていきます。
Also the dev team also acknowledges that their isn't enough macro slots so they will look into increasing.

It's good to add new emotes but looking at someone to do an emote is basic things and it also gives the character more expression so I would like to have it put back to what it was prior to 1.20

キャラクターをターゲットした 状態でエモートを行った場合、グラフィックが正しく表示されない場合などが多く、パッチ1.20にてターゲットをした状態でエモートを行っても、ターゲッ トの方を向かないよう仕様が変更されました。（こちらの仕様変更はパッチノートから記述が漏れておりました）
When targeting a character and using a emote there were times where the graphic didn't display correctly therefore in 1.20 it was changed to where even you target something and use emote it wont face that target. (This change wasn't noted in the patch notes.)

新生時にはターゲットした状態でエモートを行った場合、ターゲットの方を向くよう対応を行う予定です。なお、新生までは根本から直すことができないのですが、他の手段を用いて現行運営中に再実装ができないか、検討を行いたいと思います。
With 2.0 we are planning to make it where it will face the target, until then we can't fix this so we will look into this one to see if there are other methods to reimplement this.

This one is talking about how 2 actions for Conjurer Sacred Prism and Shroud of Saints, in the JP locale one it's called Megami no Jihi - Goddess's Compassion and Goddess's Protection and they asked the devs/reps which Goddess this one is related to? so Foxclon checked in with the world setting team and responded saying it's Nofica (spelling?) and some lore details behind it + some small info on why Nofica's well ? was named that way also.

I can but problem with lore related stuff is that the naming on some person/location/etc could be different and would be much better if Rukki or Bay do it since they know more about the NA local lore story compared to the JP side I play on.

I know those two posts responses on threads that's related to it so hmmm how to make them post the translation lol...

  For spell type of conjurer evolved from Gridania (and previous Gelmora?) Either city had Nophica as their guardian and took very good care of them. For that reason these abilities uses word that points to Nophica (goddess)
  
  精霊との兼ね合いに関してですが、森に住む人々が精霊との交流を深め、グリダニアを築く過程で、「精霊はノフィカから分かたれた存在」とする考え方が広まっていきました。この考え方については、NPCの台詞でも触れられているかと思います。
  Regarding talking to the spirits, the people living in the forest made connection with the spirits and in the process of building Gridania they spread the thinking of how spirits are beings that separated from Nophica; some NPC's talk about this as well.

  Not related to main topic of the thread but since it's good opportunity here's some info on Nophica's well.
  
  十二神信仰は、地域ごとに差はありますが、基本的に多神教になります。自分の都市の守護神を、特に大切に扱うのが基本ですが、だからと言ってそのほかの神々を信じていない、ということではありません。（例外的に、守護神以外を格下と見る地域もあります）
  There are differences in the twelve depending on the region but basically have multi god religion (?) You normally would protect/keep in mind of the guardian related to your city but it doesn't mean they don't believe in other gods. (Some region looks down on other gods)
  
  ザナラーンという乾燥した地域に、忽然と水が湧き出る土地があったことから昔の人々が、「豊穣の女神ノフィカ様が、作物を実らせるために井戸を作ってくれたに違いない！」といった感覚で名付けたのが、例の地名になります。
  For a dry region such as Thalanan there was a land that had water and for that reason the people thought that the goddess of harvest Nophica built a well for us so we can grow crops! so that's the reason behind the naming for that region.

While I understand Rienhearts translations may be off, reading it makes total sense in my eyes at least thanks for showing us this.

...To point form it.

Sacred Prisom / Shroud of saints - In the Japanese client have Nophicas name in them due to her relation to the Conjurers and Elementals in general.

Gridania - Believes that the Elementals are "Part" of Nophica that split away and so revere them as godlike beings themselves.

Nophica wells - Received it's name for being a oasis of sorts in the desert whom the residents named for the godess of harvest Nophica bringing them water so they could farm even in the harsh enviroment.

Love the tidbit about Nophica's well. Makes total sense to me, oh water this is great, thank you Nophica, even though I'm originally from Hawaii I've spent 12 years now in Nevada and I understand, we're kinda like frehmin, the thinking of ul'dahs is probably close to arakeen thinking.
