Wouldn't it be callous (at best) of him to put information on Phoenix then? This was his colleague and the one man to saved Hydaelyn from certain destruction. Plus I doubt that everyone in Sharlayan would pass up the chance of summoning a Primal for research or power and that the Sons would be able to smuggle the books to Eorzea (where the author would be if your headcanon is true) so easily. There doesn't seem to be any difference between Eikons and Primals, after all; Eikon is just the Allagan term for them, much like Primal is the current term for them (except for Garleans).
It was only after the original Bahamut was defeated by the Allagans did the people of Meracydia took to summoning them. It was noted that no evidence existed of summoning took place prior to his defeat and was speculated that a 3rd party was involved teaching them the method... so Asciens most likely.
Many Eikons were summoned, it's just that the Triad were the most powerful of the bunch. They also warred against each other as well.
Bahamut was known a the "dawn wyrm", while Tiamat was "dusk wyrm" -

It still seems possible that an eikon requires a host object to be transformed into a deiform entity. Whereas Primals seems to just appear out of think air (Except for Shiva and Thordian, but the former has been able to transform back at will so there might be another factor in play)Quote:

One interesting thing I noticed in the section on voidsent is the mention that Cuchulainn was once a champion who wielded auracite to control primals, which seems to imply that many of the higher tier voidsent are actually corrupted warriors of light?

G'raha Tia's famous ancestor was named Desch and as his descendants grew more distant it began to be that only one child per generation was born with the eye. G'raha was shunned for it, which I think he did tell us, and began to study in Sharlayan to figure out if the family stories about it were true or not (the way it's worded implies he's not originally from Sharlayan but it's very vague) and was picked up by the Students of Baldesion because of that. He's 24, likes reading outdoors and has a lovely singing voice.
Ysayle's surname is Dangoulain . . . aaaaaaaaaand that's it. Damn it, Ysayle, even Estinien kind of had a hobby.
(Speaking of Estinien's hobby, I do wonder if Nidnogg's delay in reappearing in the MSQ after 3.0 was down to him having to get to grips with his burning desire for vengeance suddenly being interrupted every time he spotted a delicious-looking aldgoat or a mouth-watering cloudfish.) -

According to the one posted here on the forums a male and female Miqo'te siblings would be something like "Okhi'a Nbolo" and "Nhaja Nbolo", while sharing the same family surname "Nbolo" the female would get her own name while the male would be given his mother's name with a suffix.
However in the lorebook it says that they all share the mother's name and then have a given name instead of a surname, which answer is the canon one?
That would mean that those siblings should instead have names the like of "Okhi'a Naji" and "Okhi Nhaja" if I understood it right.
I know a Miqo'te family who may now have their names wrong because of this, they wont be happy.

Is it (finally) written down in the lore book as having the same meaning as the neck brand? I don't have it, so I have to ask. -

As of the late Sixth Astral, about one child in every generation of his family had the Allagan Eye, and it was something shunned rather than envied. This was his motivation to travel to Sharlayan, as he had nothing but stories from his family as pertains to the history and meaning of the eye. This obsessive pursuit of historical knowledge eventually earned him a spot in the Students of Baldesion, led by Archon Galuf Baldesion.
Galuf not only ran a research organization, but an orphanage on the Isle of Val. From this orphanage he adopted Krile. At the age of twelve (1567), Krile was discovered to have the Echo, and Galuf redirected the Students of Baldesion to begin looking into this phenomenon, which is how (once Krile joined officially as a member) she came into contact with Minfilia.
So the Students of Baldesion under Archon Galuf already had ties with Echo research and the Archons; it's not surprising they would end up cooperating. And because Minfilia inherited Louisoix's legacy, it's not so odd to contemplate that perhaps the Baldesions became at the very least an allied faction if not a distant branch of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.
Anyroad, G'raha Tia was dispatched from the Baldesions to the Sons of Saint Coinach / Garlond Ironworks team so that they didn't alter the course of history by accidentally arousing something within the Crystal Tower.
So G'raha is a sage historian focusing on all matters related to the Allagan eye, inducted into the Students of Baldesion, which have been studying the Echo, Ascians, and all things under that umbrella of threats to the world - thus aligning directly with the goals of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and perhaps formally being brought under that umbrella, as well.
It's just impossible to pin down for sure because G'raha has marks and Krile has none. If I had to guess, I would say Krile is the outlier. The ears on her robes are meant to symbolize the Echo, so she's comfortable with those. But she also spent a good deal of time being the focus of attention and experiments - she might just not want brands. -

It's possible Krile's studies didn't lead to whatever tests earn the tattoos. Simply studying in Sharlayan doesn't get you the tattoos. I always assumed they were kind of like getting a professional title like doctor. She just hadn't sat the specific tests.
To be honest I am kind of confused on the title Archon as I though it had to do with being someone who tried to stop calamities happening. -

"The spell channels pure life force from the caster, reviving and restoring even those who have succumbed to fatal injury"
So are you telling me its completely in lore that we can use a spell as a white mage that can even heal someone that is dieing and yet just because you want a character death that the WoL as a white mage cant use it in that situation? V_V I really hoped that they would write that there was no spell in the lore that could be strong enough to heal even fatal wounds only to read such a thing. *eats some cookies to feel better* At least make it so that there is no situation ingame where we could ever use such a spell theoretically..like someone falling down and out of reach.. -
