She has insisted repeatedly that I haven't read her posts. I take offensive at the personal attacks on my character. On this thread, I've been called a liar, troll and it's been insisted that I don't know what the basics of a PVE MMORPG and that I didn't read posts. Unless you can prove that I am a liar or a troll, or that I'm ignorant or I didn't read posts, then I'll acknowledge the accusations. Until then I'll call them lies and that's why I dial up their posts to the extreme.

I have dismissed her opinion and have moved on, and she keeps insisting I have to reread her posts. This is a discussion about the state and path of FFXIV. If she doesn't agree with my opinion, then fine. But she needs to accept I don't agree with hers and move on without making up lies about me.

....See, now you're saying that she's making up lies about you which is another strawman that was unneeded. The whole point of a discussion is to have a discussion about differing opinions. You can't just say one person needs to accept that you don't agree with it and move on. It's not an echo chamber and that's not how discussions work.

Dismissing other people's opinions simply because you don't agree with them either is also a surefire way to make sure no one takes your own seriously either.

It's not an attack towards your character if you keep screaming that she's saying her opinions are law when she didn't state as much. You're not reading her posts then if that's your FIRST assumption instead of calmly rationalizing and refuting her points with points of your own. You're taking offense at every little thing that she's posting now simply because of a personal bias that you're starting to form that you don't like her.

If someone kept screaming at me that they think I'm saying that my opinions are law, I'd certainly tell them to reread my posts again as well if that wasn't my intention at all.

Bottom line is if you want to get top gear without earning it there are other games such as GW2 or any of the P2W titles. You don't need to clear hardest content to get best gear in those games. If you are playing FFXIV and want top gear, learn to raid savage.

For one, that isn't a personal attack. If your response barely acknowledges the post you're quoting, then logic dictates the person will assume you either didn't read what they said or you're chosen to ignore it. I made similar accusations when your response to me seemingly ignored most of what I said.

Actually, in a lot of games people call "p2w" you still have to do world bosses/raids to get the best gear. It's upgrading the gear where the money comes in.

It's crazy funny, out of all the mmos I've played ffxiv and gw2 are the easiest mmos to get top tier gear in. I mean you can put this game down for months, come back and start raiding in less than a week.

Because your responses ignore 95% of what I type, instead focusing on one or two sentences and usually completely misinterpreting them (e.g., “I NEVER SAID I WANTED IT HANDED TO ME” when I brought up a hypothetical scenario). That’s what gives me the impression that you aren’t reading them; I’m not asking you to reread them because I think they’re some law book that you must follow or because I’m this arrogant person you’re making me out to be—I’m asking you to reread them because I took the time to write them out to you, and you seemingly ignore/misinterpret them. Because, once again, you took the entirety of things that I said (as well as others) completely out of context—raiders get the best gear because they’re beating the hardest content; non-raiders do not need raid-tier gear if they aren’t raiding simply because the content is not tuned highly enough for it. But that’s not saying they don’t deserve it; you appear to be completely conflating the two after I have repeated explained what is being meant by that statement.

When I feel like I have to repeat myself multiple times to the same person, that’s when I feel like what I type isn’t being read. Not because I’m some arrogant person who thinks everyone should sing my posts like they sing hymns, like what you’re insinuating I am.

Okay, and why should the raiders not get the best gear because they beat the hardest content? Why do you feel this way?

I have to respectfully disagree simply because rewarding players the best gear for completing the current Expert dungeon does not fall within a reasonable reward for the amount of effort one put into the content, in my opinion. Expert roulette isn't tuned as high as Savage, so why should the rewards from it be an equivalent of Savage rewards?

No, for the sake of tranquility, I'm moving on from that topic. I've adequate stated my opinions on that topic and every else is free to consider what I said for themselves. An alternative to the status quo can exist.
