You haven't read even the first few pages of the thread if you genuinely think this (which I doubt most of you actually do). I've specifically mentioned that I don't want 'hellgrinds' as it's been named previously. Unending grinds is the opposite extreme of what we have now. I'm not calling for FFXIV to be hurtled into that extreme, but rather go somewhere in the middle. Sadly it seems like anytime anyone asks for that, they are misinterpreted (intentionally or not) to be asking for 'hellgrinds'. People are too scared to admit/realize that we're at the opposite extreme of WoW, and that both extremes are bad.

When this very thread was created, there were near instantly people arguing that you're supposed to not play the game you're paying for outside of 'major patches'. (in quotes because calling 6.3 a major patch is hilarious).

You know you can still enjoy something while pointing out their shortcomings, especially when they have done better in the past. For example, why lock out viera and hrothgar helms by citing clipping? Half of the modern gearsets that they release clip like a bad doom mod as soon as you move so why use that excuse? Come on, you gotta do better than "Just unsub, hater!". That sort player mentality killed WoW and other MMOs in the past. Though considering how people are, we sure do love to repeat history, lmao.

As Roabolic pointed out, they likely borrowed people who worked on FF14 to work on FF16. As I recall, the writer for FF16 is the same writer who gave us Heavensward, and I don't doubt that other devs were also taken from FF14 to help get FF16 up and running. There's a good possibility that we'll be seeing more stuff once FF16 is out the door. Hopefully there will be 0 DLC for FF16 just to guarantee it.

Oh that I know. I've been jumped on by Awesome before. It's not very awesome of them to do so.

On that post I was referring to Zanarkand saying that "no one ever claimed [that SE cannot go wrong at all, whatsoever]". Which from experience... yes there are people who do that. Imagine a spectrum: They are on one end and call people white knights, and those people are on the other end and call others toxic. Both sides will push and label.

It was toward Zanarkand specifically, on that other polar opposite existing. Because I too have been called toxic for simply saying "You can at least consider Square Enix isn't doing a satisfying job here" x,x

I assume this is true. My only issue with it is that I'd be okay with it if they didn't tell us "Oh everything's going well despite that!" when we've been shown otherwise.

Still. When 16 comes out and all's done, we'll see how FF14 progresses. Assuming the majority does return :x SE has the tendency to ship people to other departments sometimes, like the person who was going to do Carbuncle Glamours.

As for DLC... a standalone triple A game? ...you can bet your sweet bippy that's getting monetization tactics.

Yet this graph isnt realistic. Please for the love of the Twelve tell me where ANY player realistically felt satisfied with a piece of content that lasted and kept that retention for the "sweet spot" of retention you place here. Everyone I interacted, everyone whom I known in other MMOs have either min-max the content to finish it early or do it long enough to lose interest and move on to something else. Every piece of content in this game including relics never last long enough to pad out the patch cycle. It has always been a get your fill and come back later scenario. Why are we pretending it wasnt always like this?

Ok...I wanted to believe you were paying attention but it's clear here you aren't. First off I specifically mentioned folk who complain all the time. You know the ones that say the game is dead, dying, boring? Not the average player that has some grievances. I've never ONCE called anyone a hater. All I did was simply give some advice to said EXTREME side if they want to be heard by the devs. No where near a "just unsub hater"...this is exactly what I was referring to btw. Yall hop to these conclusions any time someone says something you don't like. I'm trying to help. Literally that was my only goal with that post...

Bouncing off of this....once again...saying this for the 3rd time...maybe I just missed it since there is so many threads here.
But...what kind of Content are you asking for, that would realistically fill this "Lasting Content"? If the solution is to just make more content, then the sacrifice is we'd have to wait EVEN LONGER for the next patch so they could make this 'Lasting Content'.
And lets humor the idea that this is what they do.....who is to say that you wont somehow blast through it all in a Short amount of time because likely you decided not to do anythng else but play all the games new content?
Guess what...Back to squareone, complaining there isnt any/enough content, and now you have to wait...god who knows how long. But there is a solution to this...one that you claim you arnt asking for, but its the only way TO make "Lasting Content"...a ridiculous and dumb Hellgrind.This is the only way to pad out content to last. And not everybody wants this.

The next complain will be "The Grind is too much, Nerf it"
And guess what this means?...Absolutely, nothing, got solved.
