Do you have a rotation/macro for one or two star, 40 dur? I would like to know! Thanks!! :)
Also, @SeleneVenizelos, is your rotation/macro on the first page of this thread for two-star 80dur? I wasn't too clear on that. Thanks!
Yep, I do! :)
**Disclaimer, this isn't one of those truly 100% because it relies on Hasty Touch, but it works often enough for me to think it is one of the best 40 durability rotations out there. Again, if there is something better let me know.
I used this rotation to make the 2 star 40 durability items to get my book. So I can confirm I did NOT have my Artisan's, but I was fully melded.. so stats should be same as my 80 durability rotation.
Craftsmanship: 359
Control: 351
With the below rotation you can do 1 Star 40 Durability Items with all NQ mats.
Examples of 1 Star 40 Durability Items:
Twinthread
Darksteel Nugget
Rosegold Nugget
Hippogryph Leather
Spruce Lumber
Growth Formula Delta
In addition with the below rotation you can do 2 Star Items using 2 HQs of the mats above.
Examples of 2 Star 40 Durability Items:
Vanya Silk
Darksteel Ingot
Rosegold Ingot
Hard Hippogryph Leather
Treated Spruce Lumber
Growth Formula Delta Concentrate

EDIT: Added 2nd Careful Synthesis that is needed for those that don't have Artisan's.
Can you really guarantee without artisans that a 40 durability two star item will finish in a single Careful Synthesis II while under Ingenuity II with no Artisans and no melded offhand? I'm not saying you're wrong, I just remember only getting 108 progress from that, which left me short of the goal by a little bit, requiring a second CSII. But, my memory kinda sucks, so I could definitely be misremembering.
Also, your Steady Hand II can be a Steady Hand instead, saving 3 CP since all you do with it is Byregot's, which has 90% success rate. If you want to reduce the CP cost further, you can ditch the Innovation, saving another 18 CP, as Innovation only helps a tiny bit (it only gives you (Base Control) x 0.5 extra Control, not (Inner-Quiet-buffed Control) x 0.5 like some expect). That brings the CP cost down to 350, so you only need to eat an NQ Frumenty, which are dirt cheap.
The rotation I used for these was extremely similar to yours: 350CP req, min Craft req, Control varies due to reliance on Hasty Touch:
Req Classes:
- 50 LTW
- 50 CRP
- 50 WVR
- 50 BSM (Actually, maybe Ingenuity I would work? I haven't tried it)
- 37 CUL
- 50 ALC (or increase CP cost by 14)
- 15 GSM
40 Durability 2 Star MACRO ROTATION (350 CP Required*):
(* Possibly 342 if Ingenuity I is enough, I haven't tried it. Add 14 if ALC is below 50)

The reason for the extra wait before Ingenuity II is twofold - if your condition is Excellent, you may want to cancel the macro and manually finish it. Also, if you fail to hit the Ingenuity due to lag, your synth will fail. I randomly lag, and I don't like synths failing.
Thinking about it, since I do CSII twice, I wonder if I could have gotten away with Ingenuity I instead of Ingenuity II. That would lower the entry requirement from BSM 50 to BSM 15 and lower the CP required by 8. That would allow you to do the rotation without food with 342 CP, or 345 CP if you wanted to bump the Steady Hand to a Steady Hand II for the single Hasty Touch in there...
He can't guarantee that because it doesn't. 392 Craftsmanship gives me 115/114 progress with Ingenuity 2 active. How much would 359, his recommended amount? I also know from experience that it won't work. Without Artisan you can not finish two star 40s in one step. Thankfully this 100% 40 durability rotation works. Make your Twinthread, Rose Gold Nugget, etc, with the rotation. It works without Artisan Tool. The use the same rotation but slightly modified for the items you're after. Specifically follow this part:
So use the rotation to make the HQ ingredients for the two star. The rotation above HQs without Artisan if the two ingredients are two star and you follow the above modification.Quote:
Solution for non-Artisan 2 Star
Simple solution. Use the rotation to make the two HQ base (Twinthread, etc) for your two star synth. Drop the first basic touch from the rotation and use Careful Synthesis II instead. This will reach 100% without any RNG (just!) but it will require the two HQ materials. That's not a problem with this rotation now though!
Thanks! I really need to replace my tried-and-mostly-true HT macros with the 100% BT macros from this forum. Thank you guys for being kind enough to share them! In addition to the one you linked (and this one), I found other threads that have superior macros to all the ones I have been using.
Also on the note of the 1/2 star 80dur rotation that Bunsen was kind enough to point out, I like it, it works, but there is only one drawback in my opinion. It relies on regular Ingenuity. No other rotations typically use Ingenuity and instead use Ingenuity II. That being said, using regular Ingenuity forces you to use it as a cross class action; and with only 10 additional slots available, something has to give if you want to keep all your other macros intact and be setup for 3star crafting. My suggestion is, as is, it is a good beginner macro, but once you really get into crafting, you could change Ingenuity to Ingenuity II and just use an NPC-purchased Mashed Popotoes in order to keep Ingenuity out of your cross class actions.
I've noticed 12 cross-class actions are required for all of the rotations I want to use, 10 of those for 3-star crafting alone. Now that's fine, say on ALC, where two of those abilities are part of that 12, so that leaves me with 10 open slots to fill in the the other 10 I need. But I suppose I won't be 3-star crafting super often, I'll just have to try to remember to switch out Ingenuity with like Piece by Piece or something. Also, I could always use another 2-star, 80dur rotation/macro once I get my artisan primary.
1. Comfort Zone (ALC)
2. Tricks of the Trade (ALC)
3. Steady Hand II (CUL)
4. Hasty Touch (CUL)
5. Waste Not (LTW)
6. Ingenuity II (BSM)
7. Innovation (GSM)
8. Byregot's Blessing (CRP)
9. Careful Synthesis II (WVR)
10. Piece by Piece (ARM)
Those 10 right there are just for 3-star rotations. Also, many of those are used in my other rotations, one of which was your own contribution.
The remaining two:
11. Manipulation (GSM)
12. Ingenuity (BSM)
Manipulation is currently used in my 1-star and 2-star 40dur rotations and my Artisan primary turn-in rotation (by Selene), while Ingenuity is only used your contribution macro of the 1-star/2-star 80dur rotation.
If you see me doing something wrong, please better me! I recently got really addicted to crafting and I love trying to get where I need to be, ultimately. It's a loooong process, lots of time and effort (and money, what little I have), but it's fun and well worth it as I see it!
I was just curious what ones you keep xD
It's not a matter of right way or wrong way, there are many good methods to craft all of the above, many not listed on the forum.
In terms of skills to keep, I have mostly the same as you, but on crafts where I only have 1 native skill that i use (such as ltw) I do away with Manipulation or Ing 2, as I seldom use them.
Manip has it's uses on 40 dura and is a slight cp saving over Mend 1. But personally I hardly ever craft my own 40 dura mats and on times when I do it's very quick to do manually, using Mend 1/WN.
Glad to see you don't have Reclaim :D
I wish I could do it manually and reliably, but I can't just yet! I just can't figure out when the best times are to apply Manipulation and Waste Not and stuff like that. It's going to be a learning process I guess. Plus I really do like the idea of having "mindless macros" just sitting there waiting to be used! :)
I guess I'll pick up more on it as time goes and the more reading here on forums and actual experience of crafting in-game. Thanks for your tips/advice as always! Like I said, I may just switch one out for 3-star crafting. Here's to hoping I remember!
Try these, just made them up for you ;D lol.
The first needs 386 CP and second needs 38 CP1, so you'll need CP food for these.

Tbh I've not tested either greatly, hoped others on here could! ;D
I test them on 2 start 80 dura pots, as it's nice and cheap to test lol, just add a couple extra CS2 on the end to finish, there will be 40 left over dura to use as they are designed for 40 dura not 80 anyway xD
I need to make some pots anyway, so I'll set my stats the same as yours on alch and test them out a bit!
Just tested Macro 1 and 2 for 20 2 star crafts each (using the i55 quest tool and mostly maxed gear) :
Macro 1:
100 100 100 100 100 100 100 98 100 100 100 98 100 100 100 100 81 100 100 100
1977/20 = 98.85%
So I suspect the true % is around 98% or so, for a bigger sample.
Macro 2:
100 100 82 100 100 100 100 100 82 85 100 100 100 100 71 100 100 100 100 100
1920/20 = 96% average (though all items produced were HQ)
So I suspect the true % is around 95% or so, for a bigger sample.
Seems macro 1 is superior, shorter, relies less on RNG and appears to produce better results.
I just made a 100% HQ Rose Gold Ingot with your macro 1. I really like the macro! I just hate that it uses food, but I think most 2-star, 40dur crafts do, until I get my artisan primary :(
One thing to note, my GSM is fully melded with artisan spectacles and had a "Good" when I used Byregot's Blessing. I'm glad it worked out, but would've like to have seen the HQ percentage without the "Good" condition. Probably still would've been 100%, I used two HQ Rose Gold Nuggets and ended up with I think 7 Inner Quiet stacks. Thanks! One other question, would 2-star minimum requirements and low quality materials still be enough to mass produce with this macro? Wasn't clear on that. Thanks again!
The extra synth is in there because Ingenuity is used, rather than Ingenuity II. This means you need a bit more progress to complete the synth, and it doesn't really matter how much or where it's done. I suppose it's done early because there's no reason NOT to do it early. You might think that spending 10 durability to save 8 CP isn't worth it, but in this case, it is. I tried modifying this macro to use Ingenuity II, and I couldn't get it to 100% without CP food. I wind up 1 CP short (I have 248 base), and I get 10 extra durability. So, this seemingly random CSII makes it work out nicely.
These things are so easy to HQ that I never bothered to think of a non-Hasty Touch macro rotation. Thanks though, I'll definitely be giving them a try.
These aren't 100% though if you're macroing, some badly timed "Poor" conditions can still screw you up. Maybe anyways, I haven't tried it.
this doesnt work for master craft 2 star! :/
It DOES work for most 2-star master craft items. Master craft 2-star recipes are no different than non-master 2-star recipes - EXCEPT for the token items used to purchase Artisan's equipment.
Rose Gold Cogs and the equivalent items in other crafts have completely different values you need to reach. They are intended to challenge crafters who've reached that point. To my knowledge, there is currently no combination of stats and rotations that will 100% HQ these items using NQ materials. You're going to have to HQ those nuggets, I'm afraid!
There's another thread you can use for more information on 100% token item rotations.
So my main machine crashed and I had to recover some macros I lost with it.
I just noticed who the **** wrote it.
Thanks.
And who is the blond bimbo and that has she done with Tete?
