They should un"NDA" that information -_-, let LS/Guilds talk on their own pages and methods without worrying about breaking the NDA.
That or they better make two General Discussion subgroups.. lol
Thanks btw :D

This one basically confirms that on the 6th SCE confirmed that they will be selling the PS4 this year. The price is still being checked but looks like it's going to be over 40,000 yen. SCE president Andrew House will make official announcement on the 20th at the "Playstation Meeting" event. The details are not confirmed but the screen is in HD and controller model is similar to PS3 but with touch pad which you can control with your finger.Quote:

400 seems ok.
I'm sure it will be going for 1k on ebay lol
60GB PS3 still the best one, they took out features with each release <.<;
obviously put a 500GB+ drive in it. I like my backwards compatibility.
I still have 2 fully working no issues, in fact there are 4 fully working in the house. Before anyone comments on original PS3 overheating, it doesn't happen if they are in a ventilated area..
Previously reps said we choose our hair color from 192 color selection. Now Triairy confirming you can do the same for skin/eyes/hair mesh.
I would like to see more hair parts like kappa rather than hair + mesh (2). Have mesh-1, mesh-2 or something. By default have mesh-2 copy mesh-1 settings like regular FFXIV and if you want to change to additional color then you may do so. I guess it's too late for that now since that would mean they have to change the model design of the hair :(
** Talk about it in another thread plz, thx**
NOTE: Mesh = highlights. Looked up 'hair mesh' on google and showed correct stuff so used that word but I guess it's better to go by highlights.
Just walked in office, had to take son to dentist.
Checking on the rep post right now.
Being able to customise more features other than hair customisation and the existing options (boobs, tail, face etc) will cause the game to slow down in some way?
Or
Adding more hairstyle options will cause the game to slow down in some way? (Lame excuse alert!)
Can someone clear this up?
Anyway that person is right character creation is nowhere near what people want from what I have seen, whatever that may be. If I haven't seen enough of CC then it is because SE are either hiding something great or something rubbish. No I will never be satisfied, doesn't mean they should ever stop trying. FFXIV1.0 CC was insultingly limited.
What I got was that they totally can add more parts but that adding more parts requires larger data packets (more information needs to be sent for the game to display characters - server sends more, player needs more).
And they said while Japan is ok with a larger packet else where may not be, or something like that (not specified where the problem may be, just that some people can have issues displaying characters if the packet is larger and they're not getting it fast enough).
We'll see more hair styles from Phase 3 if I remember correctly.
As for other parts, it's other than hair like say more tatoos or more tail style (maybe). I'm not 100% sure either just throwing out my guesses.
And what Shougun said above this post :p
This translation was confusing to me. By "bind/bound" they are referring to the spirit bond aspect of gear, correct? If so, you should alternate the words from "bond/bonded" instead, since those are the words we are familiar with in regards to spirit bonding and all that fun stuff.
Sorry if I'm being a nag xD
I think there was a dev response to that in English not too long ago. I'll see if I can find it.
My data packet is so big...
Wait what?
Regional servers indeed should fix most of that - the problem seems to only exist in places that have bad connection and/or have no regional server. Imo the problem isnt with the US so long as they are not using dial up lol.

Rein as Vil said, I want to verify. So if you use the armor at all it will be bound to you and you can no longer trade/share it? I wonder if that is their way of making it so you can have easier materia melds (so materia doesn't flood the system), and things will still be bought because while not being broken it cannot be resold.
hmm. Makes the guild bank a little scarier lol (But I like less frustrating materia and still good economy)
Mmm it's different from spirit bond as in ver 1.x you could still trade items that had say 50% spirit bond point already and stuff right? This one is saying once you get even over 1% or higher you won't be able to trade that item. But let me change the wording to bond/bonded like you suggested.
Edit: After checking the definitions and all that it should be bound/bounded as the items are bounded to the character and different from spirit bond.
Yep this is what it means. If you use the armor and get even 1% spirit bond it's bound to your character and becomes untradable.
In ver 1.x if you meld a materia onto that gear it reset the spirit bond to 0% right... can't remember... I thought it did. So it's possible to trade/sell after melding materia onto them??
I'm pretty sure it was translated as intended. They are talking about bonded items, but in regards to them BINDING to your character if there is more than one materia attached, I think.
I don't understand this part. :(Quote:
Even before that not sure if I can make it back for the Live, but even before not sure if I make it to departure......
He's just saying he's not ready to leave or doesn't want to leave cuz he hates flying... and the first part he's saying if he does leave he may not get back in time for the P.Letter Live. He's just joking. He'll do fine as he did in the past + without him there won't be any P. Letter Live :p
Too bad there isn't any mini FFXIV event for the fans to meet up and cheer him out lol
As Rein mentioned, pretty sure this has to do with "Bind on Equip" as is common in most MMOs these days. So from what Rein was saying, once you've done something to accumulate spiritbind on a piece of equipment (aka kill one monster) you're no longer able to trade or market that equipment.
I can't remember honestly, but I don't know how many people are going to spiritbond stuff and then add materia later to it to sell. I think most people would start with a newly crafted piece of gear and then add materia to it to sell or use.
Sorry Rein for responding in here and not in a new thread lol
But for example i had a sword(to long removed from my character to remember names lol) with enmity materia melded on it, then later i got a newer better sword(Mog blade maybe?) I had it repaired and then sold it for alot of gil, this new system would eliminate that from happening and promote people to craft more.
As always, thanks Rein for translating that for us!
Are there any clues as to when the next "Live" Letter will take place?
