[REQUEST] Please let us do POTD Floors 100+ Solo or Matched Group

Not everyone has 3+ hours to spend hoping they get the exact same group to do these floors with. Please let us match up or try them solo without restrictions.

I want to try the next floor but my FC buddies don't want to do PotD because they don't like it so for now, there is no way I cando it because I don't have 4 man fixe "roster". Pretty annoying to wait for something and then realise you can't enjoy it :/

Isn't this.. exactly how raiding works...? You get 7 other people who will for the most part, stay the same people you'll do the fights with. not to mention like 100+ is optional. and you can't solo or probably don't want to do it with random people, unless you get lucky.

Is there anything worth getting from the 100+ floors?
I hope not. :P

I take that back, you get barding and a mount from floor 151+....

Raiding doesn't require that you complete with the same group, nor does it require a pre-made group at all.

You can get a matched group through Raid Finder. You can complete A9S with 7 people and A10S with a completely different set of people.

This was an addition made this tier, raiding has always worked with statics required before now, and even now there is a VERY low chance you will get any further than A9S with pug groups in raid finder due to the coordination involved.

Make a party finder for a POTD leaderboard group and play with them. It's not hard. If you really want to do this then you should be willing to do at least that.

Honestly a much better request would be not requiring you to restart from level 50 every time you wipe. So few people have time for that.

Simply not true. You could PF raids dating back to T1, and then complete T2 with an entirely different party.

I don't really want to do it that badly, to be honest. I'd like to check it out, but the restrictions make it meh. It's really too bad, Square keeps developing content with a lot of promise, but then makes it restrictive or not fun somehow that completely ruins it. Despite them adding so much to the game, it feels like the game is getting smaller and smaller to me.

T1 and T2 were the easiest of the path, and (except maybe t2 with playing hot potatato with rot.) Anyone could do those, but when it came to t4 and 5, (3 was an obvious joke) No way in hell would you do those with a random group due to how much coordination was needed.

This isn't a debate about difficulty, this is a debate about capability. In all raids since the beginning of raids, you were never forced to enter the 2nd floor/turn with the same group as the 1st (or the 5th with the same group as the 4th) etc.

My point was you aren't GOING to, of course you aren't forced, But, No one is going to do content with a group that they know will not accomplish anything. Floor 100+ is for the "hardcore" type, so they know the same rules may apply, You will want to do them with people you trust.

My point is that I'd like to be able to do floors 51-100 with whoever. 101-120 with X friends who are online, and then maybe 121-130 with Y friends who pop on. With my static, I know 7 talented other individuals that I could make 35 different party compositions with.

PotD isn't raiding though. It's supposed to be hard, but it isn't a raid. There are people all over who want to do PotD 101+. If the restrictions weren't so heavy people would be able to get in easier. Having something in DF has no negative effect. The restriction on 51-100 just seems silly. So yes get rid of that.

But the fixed group thing needs to change. A big reason as to why people are clearing things this patch is RF. Restricting things to fixed groups has obvious negative effects.

The best way to do this without requiring a premade party would be to allow matched parties that fill the roles of a light party (1 tank, 1 healer, 2 dps), and not restarting from 101 if you wipe would be needed to avoid trolls.

But our point is that you don't get the OPTION in Palace 101-200. At least allow the option for the brave.

+1 love to know the reasoning to why they implemented it this way

Not every1 has time to sit there for 3 hours doing 51 to 100 then another 4 to 5 hours doing 101+ should of had fixed n matches starting from 101

Floors 101-110 have been solo'd, I don't see any legitimate reason for locking players out of 100+ if they wish to pug it, as players can pug savage content. I might not go in solo, but I definitely want to do floor 100+ with a friend and 2 other pugs (he's also interested) but we don't have two others who play at the same time constantly, so now a large amount of content is locked for no good reason.

If people want to slam their face against 'impossible' odds, why not let them? Enforce a proper composition if you go in with a matched party and have a restriction on requiring +60 or over for your weapons and armour, easy as that.

I understand why they did this, but I feel that the best option would be for players to be able to convert their matched party saves into a fixed party save once they reach floor 100 (or just allow players who beat floor 100 to start from floor 101 with a fixed party like how you can start from 51 if you beat floor 50).

I admire SE for making the requirements so steep, but I do feel like this will be changed in 3.46, I remember there were a lot of poor decisions in PotD1 that got changed very quickly.

So is Party Finder no longer a thing? Just set the three party slots to [?] and see what kind of Light Party you get.

I love it. People want it nerfed so they can get their black pegasus and stuff.... the same people who complain such items get put in the cash shop or who demand more challenge.

TBH the fact that it's not possible to save pomanders between floor sets in a matched party makes it unviable to do them that way to begin with. I'd prefer this restriction to stay, because people who do it outside of a fixed party would be gimped pretty badly and then we'd get even more complaints about how it is 'impossible'.

The reason you have to start at floor 51 is because floors 51 to 100 are counted for the leaderboard.

Honestly don't like that myself, wish the leaderboard was only 101+, but alas.

It just takes getting some friends together and setting up times.

This decision of restricting 100+ to pre-mades/statics makes no sense at all, specially after they added Raid Finder for relevant EX primals and savage, such inconsistency in design. Why do you care if people want to solo/duo/trio it or PUG it? You will still be able to go with your static if you want. Everyone knows that going in with a static or w/e is easier, EVERYONE, it's not a secret. But there is a lot of people with SKILL that don't want to be part of a fucking static and I'd be willing to wipe 92023x and go with a matched party or be able to recruit in PF and enter the 101th floor directly without that BS of having to go through 51~100.

Reminder: even after they added Raid Finder you still can run Savage and EX with your static. If we had floors 100+ unlocked for anyone, you could still do it with your static, not affecting you whatsoever. "Blablabla people will complain" who cares? There are people complaining NOW about this ridiculous decision, complains about difficult existed even when RF was not an option.

A 4-man side dungeon is more restrictive than the main raid, amazing logic.

I don't believe the fixed party requirement has anything to do with it being hard content. This is about not wanting a repeat of people spamming floor 1-10 for the best rewards. If they let you enter right into it, that's exactly what people would do.

Well sure if you just absolutely want to slam it all at once to beat some imaginary time limit.

Its not like the Feast where prizes have a timetable. Run 10-20 floors a run. Set a few days to do it a week.

If you are not in it for prizes, and don't think it challenging then don't stress. I swear you kids put all this preasure on yourselves to get it done asap. Do like Nestama said, make a pf, and just go at a sane pace. You all need to relax a bit, its not that seruous.

Whether you do it all at once or stretch it out over a month, the issue is that to do the challenging part that you are interested in (floors 101+), you have to waste several hours of time slogging through 50 non-challenging floors that you may have no interest in.


The requirement to get through 51-100 every single time you want to enter 101+ serves absolutely no purpose other than to waste time, and should probably be removed before people decide that it's too much of a hassle to bother with - because once people lose interest, they're probably not coming back to it even if the restriction gets lifted long after the fact.

This decision is absolutely asinine. I mean what is the point of locking people out of even atempting and puging this content? We can do it for savage so why not here?
Before you say its super hardcore keep in mind devs stated it can be soloed so no way in hell this is hardcore, a 4 man party wouldnt have many issues for sure.
I am also completely dumbfounded by the no K.O requirement as well.

Why do the developers hate the idea of players participating in content?

I agree with OP, point being not everyone has a "static" or friends that want to do POTD.
Being unable to do content is crap, it has been the same for me with SophiaEx, all pf groups are farming groups... same goes with Savage.
Raid finder while i only tried it once thus far was not a good experience.
POTD was good before with the matched or fixed, was it really needed to be changed?

He is heavily implying that players use the Party Finder. The only downside is you would need to go through Floor 51-100 first and not wipe at all during the climb (I think). If you and/or the three random people have to leave for one reason or another, set up a time to reschedule your re-entrance for Floor 101+

Be social with the people on your server. Make new friends. PotD Static. etc

And also increase Save Slot number to at least 3.
2 slots is not enough right now, when you are forced to hold one for a fixed group.

Is queuing to play with people not social anymore?

No one can answer how letting people queue for PotD 101+ effects them and their static progression.

Depends on whether you meet them again or not and if you even talk to them. There's nothing wrong with making new friends who enjoy the same content you do.

I can go all Trump on this... but I don't want to get ban. You know, it's been 3 days since this update and I haven't bothered with this thing when I read about the having to have a premade pass floors 100+. So what is this the new Alexander now.

Another content to file to the back of the cabinet till it gets nerfed to the ground or adjusted.

Finding random people in PF to do floors with is no different than finding random people in DF/RF. Neither has you actively asking those people ("socializing") to join you. You are just team members. That's all. Same for PF

The difference is small but in PF these are people you could run into again, and for that tiny reason people tend to be more respectful and or helpful. Which means they would speak more... in general. Not everyone or every PF goes like this but I think that's the general idea. Pretty much you're not treated as some NPC in PF.
