Which means you can only run though lower level instances as a way to level up. Not in open game world.Quote:

Try to follow me here, I know it's incredibly complex. What if, when we see a completely optional feature that we don't like, we DON'T use it? I mean I know it's really crazy but it's just crazy enough to work. If it's 100% optional, doesn't detract from my own experience and we are never forced to use it then maybe, just maybe we can ignore it. It's going to be really tough seeing people enjoying a feature I don't like but I think for the greater good of the game I can simply not use it and quit bitching.
Exactly. These concerns arn't groundless.
This sort of feature really can be damaging.
I don't know the full details on how SE plans to implement this, but disregarding the possible dangers and ignoring how other games have severly changed from such features is not the wisest route. We need to think critically about this.
They didn't have to. The features and changes being done for 2.0 speak loud enough.
Asside from that, I'm almost certain Yoshi has said something about instance focous. I'd love to find it for you, but unfortunatley I'm confined to my phone, and it's not the most intuitive device for finding and coppying information. So sorry I can't be much help in that regard.
Believe me, I want to be wrong about this. I want 2.0 to be an experience as fantastic as XI was. Even more so. But crittical analysis of what's going into it is important. We shouldn't disregard skeptisism on features that have a history of drasticly altering how we interact. Even if it comes from a poster with a history of nigh daily complaints.
I'm not going to find it for you, you just have to look in the pdf files, all dungeons will be instanced.
if you missed my big petition starlord
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...nced-dungeons.
Don't forget escorts, behests, hamlet defense coming in, NMs (although some are in current open world dungeons), leves (arguably), seasonal events, the PVP stuff coming in 2.0, etc.
You anti-instance crybabies are so jaded, you literally don't see any of the open world content that is available now, and you hate "instances" with such a passion that you've become completely irrational. You are hating on every last bit of instancing, even when it makes sense and including leve instancing which happens in the overworld map, where it's almost f**king identical to non-instanced mob fighting, right down to random players being able to jump in and help you if they wished to.
Apperently you don't play much of this game do you?
~Any "Area" that has a tunnel like atmoshpere, is CONSIDERED a dungeon end of story
~Only the Final Fights are Instanced ( which is fine they SHOULD be)
~Grand Company Quest, are not all instanced, only a "Select few are"
This game is not mostly Instanced, I'm sorry
idk they could even turn hamlet defense into an instanced content with what they are saying about cross world open world content. and other things.
idk a few things doesn't sit well with me.
Just because there is content finder, DOESN'T MEAN EVERYTHING WILL BE INSTANCED.
Exactly, you have zero proof of this, till you show me proof of such logic and words, then I will resume this conversation thank you.
I swear people these days mumble mumble rabble rabble
Nothing sits well with you, Rokien. You b***h about everything that would make this game fun to play.
Leves are instanced(mobs)
Lots of quests are instanced(go into instanced area)
Dungeons will all soon be instanced!
Open world might soon be instanced with cross server play
Most of their future content is going to be instanced(just look at the pdf)
Few open world things here and there.
Please give a list of things that prevent you from having fun that I don't want.
Things I don't want:
Heavy instanced
Bad Community
Instant airship
Anima<insert another way of teleportation here(I just don't want anima)>
Instant Boat ride
Aggro indicator
Exact level of mobs
Level sync
Content Finder
Speed runs
I don't see how any of those prevent you from having "FUN"
All those things just make the game easier, and we have found out easy=/=fun
"Again do you really know ANYTHING that 2.0 is going to be?"
People overreact over the littlest things, and then when its launched people say " well, this is better than expected"
Rokien, just stop causing a scene from every little thing, because nothing that was said indicates that most of 2.0 (or even 1.xx) will be instanced nothing.
Open world content:
-Guildleves
-Behest
-Strongholds (Adding in an Imperial Stronghold according to 1.22 list.)
-NM's (A lot more in 2.0)
-Odin Primal (Dev's said he is an open world primal fight in 2.0.)
-Hamlet Defense
-Escort
-Gathering
-Adding in the big time beastmen strongholds in 2.0 like Davoi was to FFXI.
Instanced:
-Story related content
-Dungeons
-Primals
-PvP
Is saying there isn't enough open world content a valid statement? Because I believe it is false.
Man, there is alot to do in Nanawa Mines.
Good lord! Copperbell is just overflowing with exciting content.
While you are at it, you may as well include all the random small caves throughout all maps. Those are definitely dungeons too. Lots to do inside them, man. Walls to look at. I surely hope 2.0 brings more of these.
You just prove yourself how lacking FFXIV's open world content is when you have to include zones. Last I check CopperBell mines, was a mine, not a dungeon. I also think that Nanawa Mines, is a Mine.
Make more assumptions of what games I play. While you are at it please tell me the lottery numbers for next week.
LOLOLOLOL
"Please give a list of things that prevent you from having fun that I DON'T want."
Anyways I'm all for instanced content and end game, bring it!
Content finder from previous games were terrible
It makes you don't have to choose, "Do I wanna set hp here or keep it at x area" decisions are good in a game.
Anima ya it's a terrible system I'm for teleportation though
Ya, I want a more intuitive combat system
I said I wouldn't be against it IF the cities were in zones
Ya makes ya work harder not to die.
No you are a joke
Aside from Dungeons, those 3 things SHOULD be instanced. There are certain things that just won't work at all in an open-world setting. And saying that the leve mobs are Instanced.. While that is true, Guildleves itself are Not instanced, you have to go through open-world to get to those leve mobs, and they give you privacy so no one can interfere.
These few people that are claiming 2.0 or the current version is a Instanced friendly game, are really out of it.. like seriously.
