You consider playing 100 games of PVP a non-effort by itself, it's doing it in a short amount of time that is exceedingly tedious and exhausting that you care about.
I'll also kindly ask you shove it with your additional attempt at misrepresenting what I'm saying. My argument is "I don't want to be threatened with losing access to rewards forever because I didn't want to play PVP as much during a specific time period." We don't treat Ultimates like this. We don't treat Relics like this. We don't treat any other piece of content like this except for seasonal events which later get added to the mogstation anyway and only take an hour tops if you're rushing. YoshiP himself has stated that players should feel comfortable taking breaks from the game, but this is directly antithetical to that sentiment.
If YoshiP truly believes in the idea of taking breaks from FFXIV without stress or pressure, he should push to remove the Series Malmstone system, and redistribute the rewards to trophy crystals, wolf marks, or some other means of attainment that is not time-limited.
But go off about how you prefer players not put in effort, but inconvenience themselves playing a repetitive game mode in a clearly manipulative FOMO system that is designed to lock players in on the threat of missing out on unique glamor, mounts, and pets. Clearly THAT'S healthy for players and a game as a whole...
