Another person that, according to their lodestone history, has yet to complete even the mission version of the dungeon run (no batraal win necessary). I question your integrity as well! Let it be known, if you post with a valid complaint and have tried the dungeon to no avail, I will not argue, I will empathize. However, I will continue to check lodestone accomplishments and call out each and every one of you that is hating without having experienced it for themselves. Wth? Do people read other peoples forums and regurgitate when they read as their own experience? Lastly, your flat out incorrect for stating all the new gear is just re-skinned versions of other gear, some are, but not many.

I wasn't talking about how fun the dungeons are or how challenging the content in them is. I was simply stating that they are poorly designed in a sense that the content in them is very shallow. Outside of few new pieces of gear that are a novelty because there isnt anything else there is nothing enduring thing about them.
Lets take XI dynamis as an example, years since release and people still do it because some piece of gear is really good or really cool looking. Now in XIV everything is meh.
Also, I've seen pictures of all the gear, it's all reskinn or something very close and meh. Like I said once AF comes out, people will just grind to AF like in XI because it's better exp than dungeons.
Not too bad, but they should have polished more on classes, battle system/attirbutes, and jobs before adding them IMO.
Either way, if you're without a shell the patch sucks since there's still nothing to do.

If you said it's too easy.. most of the people saying this, have yet to down Batraal. Even fewer have yet to unlock the 5th chest. Finish content before asking for more.
If you said it's too hard.. I'm sorry your cures get hate and cost more mp.. The dungeon is still not impossible. Pick up groups down Batraal now.
This game gets bashed constantly (and some of it is well deserved) but a lot of it is just people crying. I feel bad for SE honestly with how a large amount of their player base crys more then actually plays.
You're just pissed off tera is doing poorly in korea and they are holding off release until 2012. Seriously, if you have nothing constructive about your topic, why post at all?
FYI i played from alpha 1 up until december-january. Came back with 1.18 I'm having a good time. I'm looking forward to the future of this game than I did before this most recent patch.

He was fired, that's why he's not top guy anymore. He was just given a lower position as a consolation for his talents. Koreans just used to free to play mmos and because of the poor economy, not inclined to paying a monthly subscription fee. It's a much different situation in NA, where free to play games are considered suckage. Even if Tera is considered incomplete now, it still is more complete than FFXIV. I would say one more year, and FFXIV will have a really good game. I'm not even interested in any dungeon gear drops as they aren't much of a change in stats or looks from regular weapons and armor, and not worth sacrificing inventory space for. The rank 45 boss is definitely a challenge but I despise the rest of the dungeon and its mobs the way they are setup.

Why don't they use them fansy lev functions they have allready and give people a set ammount of entry tokens a day? I don't give a shit if they do all 3 runs in the span of 20 seconds, as long as there is some form of limitation to it. "Weekend warriors" as you call them get the shaft because they can't dedicated the time to do 50 runs in one day, why should those other people have such an overwhelming advantage over everyone else?
Limiting the ammount of times one can enter instanced content not only makes it more fair for people who can't invest the time, it also helps restrict the flow of new items and grants some longevity to the content. Instead of being mastered and figured out withing a few weeks it may have taken us longer to get everything down pat.
There is a fine line between being accesable content, and being almost pointless content. These dungeons in a few meere weeks will be untouched thanks to SE allowing such wanton access to them.
I don't want people reading your posts thinking you actually know anything about game balance.

Dyne, curiously, how many times you run in R25 or R45 dungeon? just wondering why you asking other opinion whether they bored or not
It's a dangerous precident to be setting, unless you want all of the good items from dungeons to be either.
A: Really damn hard to get.
B: All Rare/ex.
The content has almost worn it's usefullness to alot of people allready, while I may not partake in the dungeons I can see the downside of such a system. How popular would have Dynamis been in XI if people could enter however many times, and whenever they wanted?
The rewards would be everywhere, the Artifact armour was designed to be some of the best gear in the game period, and aside from time investment and a bit of luck it was extremly easy to get if you removed those factors.
I'm not saying have rediculous restrictions, I'm just saying that unlimited access will cheapen the content as a whole and negate alot of the positive effect it can have on the game. I'm sorry if the rank 50's want to be able to deck their characters out in a few days time but this kind of stuff should at least have some kind of restriction.
if white knighting it means pointing out the fact that you haven't played it so your opinion on it's depth or quality is based soley on what you've read on other forums then I will white knight it so hard. Bottom line is your another person called out for making criticizisms without having played it. I'm going to review a resturaunt without having dined there, I think I'll write "there is nothng great about them, huge design flaws". You must be a top developer to decipher this information without experiencing it.
Yeah, I get it, you wants ur endgames content. How many years into xi was it before dynamis was added? This was not supposed to be end game or substantial story content, just a crowd pleasing activity. I'd figure with how much you post you would have read that. I'm sorry, I rarely post but the ridiculousness of this thread, or some of it's critic/posters i should say, was something I wanted to be addressed. Again, the post was are you tired of the dungeons, not fix this dungeon, what do you think of it? This would mean to me is that the thread was meant for people actually playing the dungeons to comment on. if you came back saying you had experienced the dungeons to some degree your argument might have a sliver of merit. Go experience them and if your opinion is the same I 100% respect that, if you don't, keep your opinion to yourself, IMO... Lol...

Dynamis would have been more popular, and vastly more enjoyable if it didn't have such stupid restrictions. Seriously do you have any idea how long it took people to get Relic Weapons the first time? That was not a friendly design at all.
Rare gear should drop rarely, and equipment's quality should be related to how difficult it is to obtain at. No where is there a need to place stupid artificial restrictions to maintain rarity. This is a game's itemization we are talking about not the Federal Reserve. Just because other people have the same item as you, assuming the same amount of work to get it, does not in anyway impact its worth to players.
Besides encouraging the selling of such high end gear, while I don't have a problem with it being tradeable, should not be the end goal of itemization. NM gear was ridiculously overfarmed in the long period that it was the only endgame content in the game, and yet it even still has value. I think you are blowing it out of proportion, especially because like you said you haven't done instances.
I get what you mean but I must jus have a different view. I agree tha leve restrictions are bs, especially after the sp rebalancing. I see the time constraints your advocating implementing as more of an advantage to the hardcore. The hardcore player will be on at all three runs regardless of the time of day. I am for the most part a weekend warrior. I can get on line and crank out 2 or 3 runs in a night. I guess I don't understand complaining about not having to wait for an arbitrary timer to reset before I can do something I want to, in leves or in dungeons. I must be too much of an idiot. Silly me, applying basic logic to my reasoning. I shouldn't be able to walk into a cave I was just in... If this was a besieged type event or something large and special like the pending ifrit fight I'd agree with you.

You fail at analogies. Yes I wouldn't review a restaurant without trying it. But I can say I wont try this dish at a restaurant because I dont think it's cooked properly and I know I wont enjoy it.
Oh and dont give me "how many years before dynamis was added?" that excuse was OK in 2002. Another STFU and wait for next patch huh. Smart.
I haven't gotten tired of them at all. As a matter of fact—I can't wait till the next dungeon night. My LS does them 1 to 2 nights a week so we don't get sick of them so quickly.
I guess I'll just chalk it up to a difference of opinions, I myself don't tend to participate in endgame content much if at all due to my playstyle.
I personally think that if Dynamis didn't have it's "Arbitrary" rules that it would have been dead, years before they killed it off with the level cap increase in XI. Dynamis remained a steady occurance for years because of the rarity and time constraints on when one could go.
Just being a hard drop doesn't always make it hard to get, as it stands in XIV if you could sell the Rare/ex items the game has there would be no market for any item that isn't one.
Please don't compare Dynamis to FFXIV's idea of a dungeon. They are completely different and let's not hope those types of dungeons are "end game content".
If by that you mean.
XI: Dungeons that ran on a entry timer that was by almost all accounts a little too strict.
XIV: Dungeons that ran on zero entry time, so they became obsolete weeks after implementation.
Maybe I'd like to have a compromise between the two that gives us longevity of content without being punishing to people on tight scheduels?
I got tired just reading the patch notes.
Game seems ok, but until they redesign the map and add proper jobs, I see no reason to play the game. There just doesn't seem to be any excitement in levelling up.

Yeah, I hope the next dungeon they make isn't like this one. None of this skip thru all the way to the boss thing and do the thing over and over. Make the rewards worthwhile and some kind of restrictions so people will do other things besides the dungeon because at some point people forget that there are other things in the game.
Infamous/famous same thing. Don't hate just because I'm cool. I was merely checking on the status of the dungeons, don't get your panties tied up in a wad. Think of it as a survey. I'm sure anything I say probably sends you over the edge because you love this game more than anything. You probably living in denial that there are other things out there that could own this game and that this game is not as good as you hoped it would be.
