Fights will probably be the same, more like you have to actually get there through main scenario running through beastmen stronghold and stuff probably since right now you just warp inside to fight although if you look at map there are parts you can walk and there was also an Aetheryte when server dropped while fighting Ifrit.

I am fine with reach lvl 50 in short time, only if we have enough thing to do, and look like we do have and cap all class isnt need matter anymore

I"m glad about this, I was fearing that they may get rid of the Primals since they were so cryptic about it, though there is the Ifrit Extreme needed for Relics and such. But ya I think what they need to change is basically the "easy" mode since those are tied into the story mode of the 7th umbral so basically the quest needed to unlock the hard mode will prolly be different as well as the location for the primal fight nodes themselves.

When he mentions current max display of 40 characters、is he referring to the current game we're playing or the current build of 2.0? Curious as 40 characters is not much when considering they hoped to expand further.

Current. He's often noted it as one of the reasons they started from scratch.

Good to see that level 1-49 gear will pretty much be as useless in 2.0 as it is now. Good times!

Levelling is a hindrance to every MMO. Even XI. Levelling will still be there, and it'll probably be just as emphasized as it was in XI. Endgame was heavily emphasized there as well, so it's really not too far off. We just need less holes in walls.

So long as they can make levelling enjoyable, and add a few neat things like sphoshae, then I really don't see a problem with the current levelling grind. It's pretty fair up until level 40+, that's when it becomes retardedly easy. Extending the grind a bit wouldn't bother me at all, though. Searching for parties in this game is much less painful than it was in XI.

Enfeebles suck they only good for 1 use at the least,2 at the most. Sleepga on various mobs around 50 or above it doesn't last long even on the first cast.

Flare... self-aoe alone is useless, the damage over time on this spell is useless, and it's shotgun effect is dumb. Flare should be long range target spell like it always has been.

Blizzara, are you seriously using this as an example of crowd control? Most people spam aoe attacks on junk mobs so it's a pointless spell.

Anway, Reinhart thank you for the post, was curious if there were any japaenese posts because Fire/Ice spells are just so terrible to the power and speed of lightning combo. Was wondering if anyone else on the JP side was seeing the same thing and commenting on it.

Finding good people for your parties is a whole other story. But exp parties are pretty easy to find.

Just like you suggested in 2.0 you wont be able to use return or teleport from beginning for return you have to go through tutorial quest, and for teleport you have to complete a quest to be able to use it, for both we aren't planning any hard quest.

Firion when everyone spams aoe attacks on trash mobs, do you know what happens when you hit a binded with any kind of damage? Bind is removed, making a pointless spell with low damage. As for flare it's a shotgun effect, the mob must be on you to do maximum damage, resonance doesn't add that much damage if the mob isn't that close to you, then again why would you ever be that close to a mob as a Black mage? Don't you ever tell me to learn my job again.

Fire is Aoe dmg
Flare is AOE

Sleep/aoe sleep is cc
Blizaara is CC (most nuke in every game have 1 or 2 of this skill)

and as I said, have sleep/aoe sleep doesnt make you a CCer and slower your opponent are the skill most nuke have in every mmorpg. And iF AOE dmg make you a CCthen freak MRD can be 1 as well cos they got aoe

Im sorry but the amount of incorrect infoormation concerning BLM is driving me crazy

CC= Crowd Control which is movement or action impairing effects this includes snares, stuns, silence, slows, sleep. This can also include other things but they are not in this game , yet anyways.

BLM CC:
Blizzard = heavy (slow)
Blizara = bind (snare)
Thundara = stun
Sleep
Sleepaga

please leave it at that.
