I actually got Sippoy's title and credit for the kill while dead.

That's Abyssea though, and I never paid enough attention after Omega/Ultima kills to notice title changes (or lack thereof). I was too busy double-checking spreadsheets, calling out names to lot gear, and removing people from alliance if they 'forgot' to pass gear drops. Even while not busy doing the officer thing, I can't say I paid much attention to title changes from other events, either.

Yeah he did, in Abyssea you can get title from a mob while dead. Pretty sure you can't elsewhere, but in there you can.
