Please consider making CC a daily

I know others may not share the same opinion, but I was wondering if Crystalline Conflict could be made into a daily in the future alongside Frontlines? It would be nice to have the option since I have way more fun in CC than I do FL, and even if it was still less exp and rewards (since it's shorter) I'd still just have more fun making slower progress doing that every day rather than FL which is the only PVP daily. As it is now I do still sometimes play CC on my own since it's fun, but since I'm leveling up some side classes on my characters and also like some of the gear you can get with the wolf marks/crystals, I often feel compelled to pick up FL just for the daily exp and rewards even though I don't enjoy it so much.

And no I am not one of those people who freeloads on daily FL, I do my best to contribute without dying, but I see it constantly so I know I am not the only one who does not enjoy queueing up for it. I constantly just see people running around in circles, or running head first into enemy to die, etc etc. It would be nice to have 2 PVP options where you could pick one daily to do rather than just the one, and then each just has a boost to their exp and rewards (to an appropriate level based on time put in).

I would much rather have Crystalline Conflicts replace Frontlines as a daily challenge. In CC, players can't hide behind 23 other players and "play" PvE with the map objectives, and my actions also have a greater impact due to the lower player count.

They either need to add a daily "click here for exp" button on the screen for those who are "only here for the exp" so they stop wasting other people's time, or they need to get rid of the daily exp bonus/exp gains from placing third place.

Ever since they got rid of the 8v8v8 version and forced freelancing on players, the quality of the mode has taken an absolute shite.

There isn't really a point in making it daily as they do that to content that needs more engagement. It pops at pretty much any hour of the day. You couldn't really make ranked a daily because it would attract the kind of engagement that it doesn't need.

Based on what I have seen, I just don't think funneling borderline unwilling participants into the game mode via these rewards is the way to go, and I have to agree with your thoughts for the most part. I know that if there was no bonus or if I could get it any other way, I simply would not queue up and would be much happier for it. As would the people I see running in circles around a flag, I imagine. For me CC is more fun because it feels like I actually contribute to my team and if I die or screw up it is a lot more apparent why and how, so I can learn from my mistakes. The settings are also really fun, it feels like I am a piece on a board game and I love the aesthetic. I've had some really great interactions with others in CC. Meanwhile my experience in FL is usually a bunch of people just running around in mass confusion, while one or two people freak out in the shout chat because they actually care about the match (way, way too much honestly lol), and occasionally getting hit and killed by a wave of invisible players that randomly become visible after they're already attacking you (which does not happen in ANY of my other games or any other mode in this game in my experience). If the game was 8v8v8 I would enjoy it way more, but with 72 players on the field the whole thing is just a massive directionless wave of players doing random stuff, and a lot of the time it feels as though FF14's servers can barely handle it.

FL and Rival wings should share a roulette, CC should have its own. thats how id do it because, people who just wanna que for rival wings would be able to pull from the roulette : )

They probably are silent on it because their main concern of playerbases, the JP players, might not even have the issue of getting matches for Rival Wings in the manner we do.
"It is content so I should do it" and so on.

The way the pvp works now, there is a real flow to how fighting works in the 5 v 5 format. This doesn't work at all in Frontline engagements because the total damage a pack of 8+ does renders even guard useless.

Frontlines they need something like NPCs fighting amongst the players to help mitigate the swarm tactics. I was a huge fan of Alterac Valley back when it was actually good. Having objectives like claiming the mines and then getting cavalry units to charge forward to disrupt things.

Unfortunately, CC is still crap because depending on the group makeup it is just RNG if you win or lose. Case in point: Getting three ranged dps with a warrior and healer against a melee, tank, healer, one ranged, and another melee. This isn't a skill issue: The other team basically can dance around the other group like they are a joke while the melee struggles to even get within ranged to start attacking.

Another example is getting two tanks and three melee vs a single tank, healer, and just about any configuration of dps. I could go on all day. Maybe in some different reality where party comms were possible and people could pre-queue like an actual pvp team, this wouldn't be an issue? It's like SE wants PvP to fill a checkbox and then hates the entire concept of actually having a skill based match...

- I wouldn't have a problem with frontlines going away and the game focus entirely on small scale pvp. Frontlines was never a good mode imo (and this goes for nearly every mmo with large scale pvp. Anything with a mass amount of players is impossible to balance and are just joke modes of pure zerg/ranged/aoe spam), but it doesn't mean I will actively advocate for changes that could hurt the queue for those that enjoy it. Even if the number of people who like the mode is very few, the exp daily incentives is what keeps the mode populated for those players. I'd never queue for FL if it wasn't for the daily.

- I'm sorry you think CC is crap. I think it needs some ironing out, but the mode overall is fantastic imo and I really wish more people would play ranked. I personally don't see the point in pvping in any unranked setting.

-I used to think like you early in season 1 with the roles you get on a team, but as I got better I realized most of it is nonsense. RNG is RNG, can't really do anything about the skill level of your teammates, but the roles don't really make that much of a difference. CC overall is fairly balanced at this point with really only some small things I think should change with each job (with the exception of GNB. I personally think that job should be redesigned as the junction system is trash.)

The all ranged vs melee is a problem since when the group does know what it is doing and both sides are even, they have the ability to delete most melees without much issue. Even tankier ones like Dragoon go down far too easy because the dragon roar is only effective in melee combat, not against ranged. It isn't impossible to get guard up and tank the hits for a short while if they all go through burst first. Additionally they can attack from outside of PoV which is a huge advantage.

Also this is a specific group comp and not just an all ranged vs all melee dps thing. Some party configurations are absolutely better in a match (which is probably why we are getting stuck with this RNG fest)

Melee can deal with ranged pretty easily. Just dive on them and its no longer a problem.

Again, the groups are like a hand of cards and some of the hands are just going to win against other hands when all the things are equal. If they made match making do balanced teams all the time we'd probably see strategies start to form more readily.

Regardless, the real problem with PvP is the tedium of it. It's very much like Diablo 3 Rifts except the rewards get more and more sparse the further you go up, so there is even less incentive to keep pushing forward. People can enjoy pvp casually, but I've listened to more than my fair share of discord ranting when dealing with the whole thing.

Holmgang is single target, can't stop everyone with it, and honestly if there's a WAR on the team just blow him up. WAR's are easy to kill.

No, no, it is bad idea, really. After series pvp we have a lot of idiots who farm points in CC. Before that we need parties register in CC matchmaking.
Because why i need to play with random imbeciles who didnt even know role of his class in current meta and come for free points in less than 5 mins? After u suggestion their numbers will grow to really gigantic sizes.

The reason they aren't letting people party is that there are combinations of jobs that will absolutely rip other groups depending on the map and it would basically kill any interest in PvP if they allowed for it. No joke, the stadium map is just a fishing game with whoever can burst the other down first while disrupting the other teams dps. That gives a lot of favoritism towards monk for example, along with stuns or snares.

The only map that I ever do well on consistently is the one map where knockbacks are basically useless, and that is the castle map where the focus gets pushed on keeping together. That is the only map where I feel like the wins and losses are good wins and losses, not just cheap shots because someone won the lotto. Also it absolutely is not the fault of the person going and attempting to do damage and getting shot dead, because your team mates are a bunch of idiots standing in the back and letting the other team get a free focus fire on you. (Raise of hands in the forum for all the times that happens even when you tell your team to group up as well as push the damn crystal)

GNB (Dps Junction) + WHM

GNB: Rough Divide (2000) -> Double Down (14400) + Blasting Zone (12000)
WHM: Seraph Strike (8000) -> Afflatus: Misery (12000), mix in Miracle of Nature, can heal with Cure III after

This combo alone would be mayhem as f***. They both do this on a 20s cycle, Seraph Strike grants the DPS Gunbreaker mitigation he otherwise lacks (-10% from Protect) and with this combo they do a combined 1-second burst of over 48000(!!) damage, instantly murdering BLM + SGE, putting half the jobs a sneeze away from dying and putting a serious dent on the tankier jobs.

On top of them both sporting 60s-recharge Limit Breaks, both doing high AOE damage + AOE stun, with GNB shredding attack + defense + giving selfmitigation and WHM enhancing his own damage + boosting heals with Temperance.

I'm not gonna sugarcoat it - as much as I'd LOVE being able to queue with a partner (mixed queue), the potential is borderline absurd. This is only ONE combo you could do, there are way more.

Well, this is full meaning of words "balance in pvp" as it supposed to be in NORMAL PvP-games with focus on such content. Basically all their current changes are useless because they are based on random matchmaking with peoples with different goals. Yes, in first season or two after team mm will be unbalanced teams. But it will be their workplace for balance and players` for experimenting. And they can simply make it in different rating and winners table than solo. Right now ur CC rank show only ur luck, not ur skill or strategy
