I read somewhere on the ZAM forums that there are plans to allow mages to cast spells while in passive mode. Is there any truth to this? Or was this just a rumor. I quickly searched the forum here and didn't find anything about it. Sorry if this has been posted before.

I figured this would just take out the extra step of putting your weapon away if you're passive when you start the cast. If you aren't auto attacking or actively casting a lot you should be going to passive anyway to get MP back.

Think about this logically guys. You don't regenerate with your weapon away right away, you have to be out of combat. So even if they had their weapons unreadied, they'd still function normally.

I imagine they may tweak how HP/MP is regenerated in passive mode to make it so mages can't just cast and regenerate at the same time.

Oh hey, how about it works like any other game with out of combat regeneration?
- You attack an enemy, you're in combat till it dies or it completely loses interest in you somehow (I.e. running away)
- You cast a beneficial spell on a target who is engaged in combat, you are now in combat with the engaged target.
Whilst 'in combat' mana regeneration is stopped or severly reduced (affected by stat allocation).
Is it really that hard to work this kind of thing out? -

/rest comand yes please. I mean. Whiout forgot the new system. In Ctive mode you dont recover ANYTHING. In passive mode you will have low rate of mp/hp recovering. And whit a new/old REST mode you will recover whit a high rate. And acelarating the weak off effect.
Iy will be lovely to see my entire party kneeling before a big a battle. Or after a hard one. -

I would be overjoyed if they'd just scrap active mode altogether. But indeed we do run into the issue of MP regeneration. i.e. how and under what circumstances? I'd rather not have to kneel like in FFXI, but I suppose I wouldn't mind it that much. I can't think of anything else, to be honest.
