Whats the trick to Haukke Manor (HM)?

First boss. A big skeleton Manor Steward or something spawns on occation. I though initially that it spawned when 3 corpses are near each other when the blue circle forms. I saw just now that they don't always merge inside of the blue circle. 90% of people i play with do not know about the steward in the first place.

What is the secret to avoid spawning it?

Its always spawned for me
2xholy from your healer does the trick

Or just drag it near boss and aoe

Or just regen+sprint

The trick is they die easy.

Steward will spawn if you kill a seketon and it gets raised in the magic circle. So if you don't have the gear check, do the bone dragon tactic.

Wrong on both accounts. holy doesn't kill it, it has more hp than the boss. It does massive aoe that nearly wipes party.

The magic circle always appears on adds. there are too many adds to avoid there being 3 next to each other. Sometimes 3 being near eachother does not spawn the steward somehow.

I thought it was 4 together that spawned the large skeleton, but there might be some other factor to it. I ran manor the other day and we didn't get any stewards despite the latter end of the fight getting extremely chaotic to the point where we couldn't worry about where to kill them.

IIRC isnt the outline a small circle and a large circle surrounding it? Maybe they all have to be within the small circle.

There are 2 types of add as said by Mr. Happy.

1st: the skeletons with the boss
2nd: Skeletons that spawn on from the cage

Skeleton bones (from orginal set?) on the magic circle should pop a steward.

mr happy never mentioned steward even existing or how to deal with it. How do you avoid it wiping the party? what does the tank do?

We do nothing special because our dps is so high, it really doesn't matter, but you can choose to lb the steward (give or take how the boss is doing).

Our tank though does move from corner to corner if only to get away from the patches, and thus the magic circles will not keep coming together.

The best thing is to catch the skeleton spawns as they pop, and not let them get to the center. They spawn from the cages in a set pattern.

The least of our worries are from the steward, but he rarely spawns if you don't kill skeletons in the near the tank.

So the tank does not need to get adds. And if the healer dies to adds the dps is doing something wrong?

Besides the steward, the adds dies very fast under damage dealer scrutiny. Seconds. Sometimes it doesn't even last outside the cage. Damage dealer is definitely doing something wrong if skeleton need a tanks attention.

the last set though does spawn like 3 seketon, so that's when the mayhem starts and may want a tank to get them (usually the fight is over)

If your group does not have enough dps, you should ask tank to help you with taking down adds. I RDF in with a group with mostly AF gears, we wiped few times until I started helping with adds.

First boss:
- Make sure the skeletons are killed far away from each other. If the Jester summons the huge purple circle, and there's at least 3 skeletons inside the circle, a Steward will spawn, which will almost always cause a wipe.
- Alternatively, if your party is overgeared, have the tank aggro ALL the skeletons, but don't kill them. Then DPS down the boss, and healers just focus on healing the tank. The tank can have up to 6 or more skeletons on him towards the end.

Second boss:
- Dance Dance Revolution

Third boss:
- Adds have to be killed ASAP when they spawn. Otherwise you will suffer a lot of damage from Blood Rain. Blood Rain's damage scales according to the health of the mob remaining when the boss decides to sacrifice them. If they have at least 50% health or more, it's a guaranteed wipe.
- After Lady Amandine is dead, have your team spread out. Halicarnassus will seduce the entire party (room wide disable), then target a random person with a huge AoE attack. If you are all spread out, only one person should take damage.

I love how executing the mechanics of the fight properly is being described as not meeting the "gear check".

Anyway for the first boss, the Steward pops if 5 skeletons(Maybe it's 4?) get in a resurrection circle, I think it's anywhere in the circle, you'll notice all the bone piles being pulled into the center if it's happening. So basically you just don't kill all of them at the boss. Also the first two will get resurrected this way as well. Basically you start two strikes down if you kill those two right next to the boss, normally in runs I've had that go well the tank doesn't pick them up and either ranged can attack them or melee can drag them out. I'm not sure where the circles spawn but they seem to spawn within the room, and what I mean here is I've never seen the center of a circle in a place where the sides of the circle go outside the sides of the walls. So the safest place to drop skeletons is probably along the edges of the wall. You can DPS down the boss if you get the Steward late and he's not always a wipe, it depends on your party.

For the second boss I try to make sure the tank tanks him on the medallion in the middle since it's easier to avoid most stuff from there, and he can just pull toward either wall for when a scythe AOE is put down.

For the third boss I've always limit burst the third add and never had a problem. Just make sure you explain to your party the adds are priority and where they spawn. Especially for the second set tell them which one is eaten first so they know to soften it up, with the second set it may be worth peeling off that first add early so the second one is reasonably low as well. Also if you have a monk he can dispel the Stoneskin the first add casts on the boss.

I rarely have problems with this fight - but I've noticed the level III spell the boss casts matches up exactly with the PLD silence cool down and I stun the level II which is spread out enough to not build resistance. The only chaotic moments i've had in that fight was when I wasn't paying attention to stun/silence those. I haven't thought too much into the mechanics as of now and in the back of my head made some correlation between the adds and those spells from the boss.

I saw the Steward spawn first couple of times I did the instance when it came out. I haven't seen him spawn in a long time of doing it though. I always thought the Steward spawned if you hadn't killed the boss in a certain amount of time. Imp dies really fast, and the lesser skeletons all die in like 2-3 hits.

The few times I've seen the Steward spawn, I've never seen it cause a wipe. <.<;

I do Haukke as BRD and I always tell the other dd to stay on boss while I solo the skeles. Boss dead faster = less skeles = less chance for Steward to spawn.

I'd rather try not to let it spawn because the AoE can take people by surprise. Every time I've seen it spawn, the party usually wipes.

Oh yes, and you can Stun/Silence the first boss when it's casting Void Blizzard III. You can also Stun/Silence the last boss up until the first Blood Rain.

If the Steward does spawn, don't waste anything on it, just ignore it and continue attacking the boss. Every time a dps peels to the steward we generally wipe. Even with low dps, the boss should die at least after 2 aoe pulses, so your healer will just need to go into aoe mode and the tank should throw as much mitigation as possible.

Second boss - it doesn't hit hard. Adds + miasma hit harder, keep the dps topped up.

Third boss. The eye casts stoneskin, interrupt it (stun or silence) or have a monk use One Ilm Punch. South West maiden from the entrance is the one to hit first. Usually take her down until 3/4 and then have one dps peel onto the other. I usually save my higher damage skills for this window as it seems shorter. With a summoner can usually have both dps peel and DoTs + Pet finish the first off. For Amandine - I've noticed using LB right away gets her absorbed too early. Take her to just before 1/2 health and then LB. A tip for the charm phase- have your tank run as far as they can whilst she casts the charm, she'll chase the tank before she starts casting Fire IV, the charm can sometimes wear off quickly enough for you to dodge it.

As I said, I've only seen it spawn like the 1st 2-3 times I did the zone, never caused a wipe, but I haven't seen it spawn ever after that, probably a good 20-30+ runs I've done over the course since I use that zone for capping weekly mythology.

I know you can Silence Imp/Heliocarnassus as well. As a BRD though during the 1st phase I tend to save my Blunt Arrow timer for Dark Mist.

As a side note the maidservants through out the run can also rarely use Dark Mist as well, though most of the time they just spam Demonize.

If you're talking about standing in the doorway and facing Heliocarnassus, your SW maidservant is on the left side? Than that would be wrong. Every time the tank has tanked her where she spawns, it's always been the maidservant on the right side that gets consumed first. I've done that fight a good 20+ times and it's always been that one.

And why would you stop at 25%? You should have no problems taking everything down to 0% even with average DPS except Amandine. She's the only one that can be tricky sometimes.

Nice to know that you know. None of the Bards I see in pugs silence Imp/Hali ever lol. The few times I went in as a healer, if the big skeleton spawned, not only would most of the adds be on me, but one AoE + one swing from the big skeleton, and I'm usually dead. Throw in an unlucky Blizzard/Slow or blizzard pool from the imp for good measure.

I think they will attempt Demonize first. If that goes through, then their next casting skill would be Dark Mist. I can't confirm this as I've never seen it happen myself, but I believe it is highly possible.

Naw, the maidservants can do either first. The PT's I've been in usually kill the maidservant as the first in the pack, so they never get more than one spell off before they are dead. It's just usually Demonize.

Don't bother with blunt arrow. Once she eats the first add, she will become immune to stun/silence. It's better to save silence/ stun for each add, as the 1st 20-30% really she's a pansy anyway.

Once the add spawn though, blunt should be shot to prevent stoneskin (or a stun but sometimes a pt isn't as coordinated). With proper chain stun/silence and adds will go down quickly, and the boss can be healed through as she gets progressively more powerful (II on first boss III on 2nd boss IV on 3rd boss)

I know you can't silence Heliocarnassus past the 1st phase, but using it on Dark Mist, still helps tank/melee so they don't have to stop DPS midway, even if only for phase 1. The only add that would interfere with silencing is the Ariman, which is the easiest add to take down, you can get it to zero w/o even using buffs and save buffs for maidservants/Amandine. Why silence Stoneskin when it can be taken to zero with or without it?

If you have trouble taking the Ariman to zero, you are going to be struggling pretty bad on maidservants and Amandine.

Why wouldn't you want to take out stoneskin before he can cast it?

The point of the fight was never about her, it's about adds. She is coded that it's based on HP, so there's no point to rush between adds.

Yes, I am referring to the maidservant to the left of the doorway. Not once has the maidservant to the right ever been consumed first in any run of mine, every time someone insists it's the one on the right (SE) we wipe. Every. Single. Time. I refuse to tank at all unless everyone agrees to focus on the one I mark - regardless of what they've 'heard' or 'seen'. I have also never tanked one where it spawns, I just take Halicarnassus to the centre and Provoke the the maidservant on the right (SE) whilst marking the left (SW).

I've had many a group with dps that seem to have barely scraped by the iLvl requirement. Very rarely can they get the second maidservant to close to 0% in time unless one swaps targets. Also, when I have a group with low dps I often tell them now to let me LB when she consumes Amandine, with this I haven't wiped yet. Often the dps miss-time it or it just doesn't hit hard enough.

From what I've seen they will always attempt to cast Demonize multiple times until either they are successful, or a stun comes in just late enough that the Demonize animation seems to begin, but nothing happens.


By the way, all of my observations are from me completing the instance as a Healer, Tank, and both Melee & Ranged DPS. The only thing that after all of my runs I still don't have an idea of is when she will cast Fatal Allure on the tank. It's only happened a few times, and yet I am sure I've seen a healthy tank get consumed as much as I have those with low health.

Maybe she just eats the maid servant with lower health first! Derp. Also why LB for the attack from consuming the 3rd mob when you can just ... LB the 3rd mob, never had a problem doing that. A level 2 LB really wrecks her, and the timing isn't tough either do it when she spawns or DPS her until she (the mob that is) casts the AOE Stun.
