Tank Gear's Value for the Future.
Since Vitality AND Strength effect damage, doesn't that mean Jewelry for tanks must have both strength and vitality on it to make up for it?
Eventually we are going to go higher and higher in stats, so that means that vitality will not add up the same damage as strength will.
A simple fix to this, is to make tank jewelry also have strength on it.
Tank Jewelry:
XX Value Vitality (Say, 50.)
X Value Strength (Say, 25. However only tanks receive this bonus.)
This will make it closer to the same value for damage other classes receive. Even though it might be balanced now, in expansions later you will see Tank damage drop more and more as the stats become less.
Say, lets say it is 5.0x
DPS Gear:
XXXX Value Strength, lets say 200.
Tank Gear:
XXXX Value Vitality, lets say 200.
This means, that DPS will get a 200+ increase to their damage stat.
However, Tanks will only get 50-60% of that value. Which is way less when you add all the gear up. They need to be compensated for that so its 1 for 1 like the rest of the classes since DPS classes also do not have a 20% damage reducing thing and have much higher potency in weapons.
OR
"Damage Reduced" needs to be removed from tanking stances.
Another issue is, DPS classes may need a health boost as well for the future. If Vitality is now the main tank stat AOEs and missing mechanics will not hurt them nearly as much as they do now, unless they are doing it to hit max % health, which is another huge issue.
