to be fair its not about all feedback being read, it's like mail you send some in here and there from players be it good or bad but eventually it can add up where SE looks and goes the complaints and thoughts on this particular issue seems to be increasing we may want to look into this.

sorta like earlier with the combat changes over time while they were changes some players dont see them as improvements while others do, but the changes came from the want of change from players or need there of due to players actions.

so saying something even if its non substantial can be beneficial in its own right.

All this anti-streamer talk, you almost think people here are just trying to go out of their way to cover their eyes and ears to what the arguments are actually being said.

Thank those players who successfully derailed the thread from problems mentioned in the video to discussing Zepla herself and making pointless arguments. Great job.

Also, if the devs by some miracle will try to collect feedback from the forums, there are PLENTY of well-constructed threads lying around FOR YEARS. I think they will manage.

Yeah true I’m churning through my daily posts but the fact that we can even have this conversation is a blessing because it’s one that needs to be had even if there are some people who vehemently disagree. So memes aside glad we are finally so fed up with the state of things that we can have an honest conversation about the shortcoming of the game.

While I agree it is a little sad people brought forward criticism that your response brought more attention to Zepla than the actual issues she brings up and continues to argue about the point, it’s no wonder people feel like you have attempted to derail the conversation and are no longer interested in dealing with you or your arguments. My response had nothing to do with the crybaby gif. At all. Heck, that one didn't even get a like from me because I thought it was too much. I was simply agreeing with Nebelheim's point. Look at the 1.0 situation they tried making ff11 version 2.0 but made a significantly worse game then ff11 ever was. Then when people provided feedback the 1.0 devs and Tanaka was so arrogant with there can do no wrong attitude that they would shutout any form of feedback to the point they shutdown the 1.0 forums because they couldn't handle the feedback. And now we have people on the forums feeling like victims for the dev team for streamers and people on the forums getting tired of lack of various things in endwalkers and want more from the game we use to get.

And that's all I'm interested in saying on it. If you want to keep attacking me, you can, but that IS just bullying.

On the other hand, if you'd like to join me in discussing the issues with the game, you can do so. I've offered that to others and no one's taken up on it yet. Indicating that, yes, they'd rather attack me than discuss the issues, even the ones we have some agreement on.

Just watched the video. First time watching a Zepla vid and it was pretty excruciating to sit through but she makes some fair points. As an FC leader I have definitely noticed engagement drop off pretty quickly after each patch which I don't recall being the case in Shadowbringers.

I don't agree with all her points but I do think a few questionable decisions made here and there this expansion, which on their own probably wouldn't be the end of the world, have all added up to be a much larger problem.

I do think she's right on the money about the "vibe" of exploratory zones, even if I'm not a fan of those zones in general. The game needs more content to bring lots of players together, whether that comes in the form of a new Eureka/Bozja or regular zone content or something entirely new. I get a little taste of that every time I do an S rank kill and it's always a fun time, but obviously fleeting. I have no problem at all with expanding the Trust system to allow players to solo the whole story, but I do think the MM in MMO should always be the primary focus.

It's a bit late in the hour to address many of those issues now so it's really going to be on Dawntrail to shake things up. I think that is going to be a real watershed moment for the game, for good or ill.

I partially agree with you. The problem is: streamers has a different stimuli than you. You never know if they are doing because they are being honest or they just want to farm based on drama. Zepla changed a lot after Asmongold, she changed how she talks and behaves on the camera, she overreact about everything. Her coverage of Dawntrail announcement is unwatchable.

That's why people don't take them seriously and if even more people take their opinions with a grain of salt, they deserve it. Their attwhore attitudes ruined their credibility. It is what it is.

It's incredible hard for a dev to take feedback from the internet, it's a wild land. If a dev ask for our feedback for example, he will end with 99 different games and no definitive answer for the original problem. It's worst if they are lazy or comfortable like ours.

THAT said, EW is like the reverse SB. SB flopped on release, but made up for it in the post-patches. EW's release was fantastic but it dropped the ball in the post-patches. Where it needed to let us down gently from the post-climax high of the resolution of the 10 year story arc, it kind of just dropped us with little to do and longer patch cycles. It's the one expansion they REALLY shouldn't have decided to drop Exploration Content, and Island Sancutary, Criterion, and Orthos were thrown out to try and make up that void but have, for various reasons, failed to do so.

Part of this may be FF16 work, part of it is probably that they've also used a lot of resources on the graphics updeate (which isn't just 7.0 but is a work in progress that they're introducing bits of over time as well) and the revamp of the 1-70 game with Duty Support, AI, rebalancing and tuning all the earlier game stuff, and a lot of pruning and alternations to old quests, items, and systems to make the game more streamlined and "new user friendly" for people picking up the game. And all that stuff is fine and good...but it does expend resources that can't be used on the top end.

Let's get back on topic here: I agree, Endwalker has been massively disappointing in terms of patch content. Things are good if you are a raider, but if you are casual or even enjoy the more casual content, things have been dull as can be.

Plus they are putting more items then ever on the cash shop which always puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Her opinion is something that I've personally been bouncing back & forth between few select of my friends since 6.1. Nothing really new to me. I do feel glad that she have joined suite in sounding her discontent (IIRC MrHappy and Mizzteq has sounded similar opinion too don't @ me) with overall development of EW.

Yesterday I just had another point added in my convo with a friend: "Less content being added into the game but lol look at those mog items. Sus much?"

Also how baffling it is to see people who truly believe 'leaving/taking a break' from the game will magically solve the on-going issues the game's having. Lmao.

On the topic of Zepla, this is not the first time she's expressed disappointment in FFXIV's development. Skimming through the thread, I've seen people try to complain that her opinion means just as little as anyone else's (but, often, those remarks are made in such a tone as to make it seem that, in fact, her opinion truly actually means less) unless she were to take these complaints to the developers themselves. However, from what I understand, it's not like she's been given any opportunities to bring it up to them directly since she's started expressing her distaste for the state of the game. I don't believe that she maintains any personal dialogue with the developers in any way, and I doubt she has some magical hotline she can call to give them her opinions that someone like myself couldn't also call. So I feel like it's disingenuous to be dismissive of her opinion, as with any opinion, just because it doesn't have some sort of action taken as a follow up. If anything, her using Twitch as a platform to express these opinions is a sort of action in and of itself anyway, and probably the best way to express them to Squeen as a whole (considering a couple of posts within this thread have made the connection that the development team seems to pick up on complaints issued by streamers almost directly after the streamer complains about them, despite a history of the same or similar complaints on other venues). So, while her opinion is, in and of itself, not worth more than someone else's opinion, it's at least one that's probably more likely to be looked at.

And, to the extent that I feel Endwalker is incredibly boring, and I'm seeing many of my friends quit because they feel there is nothing to do and the game seems to be becoming too simplistic to play (they prefer games where teams of players require all players to perform at their respective jobs in unique ways to be able to excel or complete an objective), I agree with the opinion that Endwalker is probably the worst expansion to date. I'm sure there's stuff happening behind the scenes that's compounded and led to this particular situation, but we're currently in such a situation now regardless, and I'm trying to just enjoy my game and not be the developer's agony aunt.

I been mixing in some ff11 and various single player games as well if i need a break. Unfortunately with how endwalkers patches have been no matter how long the breaks you take are once you come back content gets done so fast that it felt like i didnt even take a break.
