2am came and went, I guess that throws my theory out the window too.

Because the content you want is anti-ls, none of you want to socialize and go kill something, these mobs for hours and hours spam spawn at 4 dif camps, within min's of death, respawn, they would only be heavily camped maby the first week of release then nothing. There is no "claiming" issue, the mobs are all over. None of you want to do anything with anyone, you play mmo's to low-man/solo.

Edit: The only issue with this type of content is the mob tethering making them deagro, it makes for easy kill if none are around to steal claim, and people stealing claim.

They should make Public Events has their own loot tables.. . that would solve many problems.

People should stop leashing and do the fight as intended, it would solve the claim stealing issue. Leashing is cheesy anyway.

Honestly, I've never seen the H-1 drop anything, but all six of the elites can drop either hat, and I'm assuming that the H-1 can drop both hats as well.

Your priorities are in the wrong place, according to the "you know who crowd" these hats were "subpar" anyway, you should be focusing on capping out your seals.

No way, that tricorne really fits the war DD build I'm working on better than any other hat. Without headgear, I'm already at the cap for VIT, so the vit and other stats on the crown are kind useless for me.

compare the stats on the tricorne to those on the WAR af hat:


Tricorne
Str : +10, Dex : +15, Crit Rate : +20, Crit Attack Power : +20

war af
Enhances Antagonize , HP : +60, Vit : +5, Str : +2, Crit Rate : +10

Tricorne is good for Drg if you have the right build to the point you dont need the 10 extra piety from the crown. Its also decent for bard and warrior I guess. Other than that though, yeah the hats are a bit subpar.

And please do not try to justify 20 Crit atk power and 20 crit rate > 20 atk power for War (And don't even try to say 15 dex is good for acc)

It's about what other options are available, aside from DL, the tricorne is the best available for my WAR. I also have crit attack on my cuirass and crit rate everywhere else I can stack it without taking away from other stats. Could there be a better option in the future? sure. But other than DL there isn't one now. For obvious reasons, I'm not counting on getting a DL helm.

Uh, for warrior the helm definitely is, which is what he was stating. Its got 5 more strength than any other item in the game in that slot, and it also has 10 vit and 20 attack power. There is nothing else that is really comparable.

It still stands that the tricorne is the best hat for WAR dd that's reasonably easy to obtain.

I just wanted to add that there is reason to believe that the tricorne will not be obtainable in 2.0. That's another reason I want one.

This is probably your only shot to get one, and I do love the look of it but I am sure there will be a ton of new stuff in 2.0 that will be better. I wouldn't mind picking one up either and it seems easy enough just have to get lucky and be on when event is up.

The Tricorne is a really Decent Head-Piece and if you dont have double/triple melded Stuff i would take it over DL-Helm.

Also, if you use a tricorne in a tanking warrior position which is what half of your argument is based on then you have got to be either high or have no idea how to build a proper tank setup. As far as the accuracy thing goes, if 5 extra accuracy is going to make or break your capability to tank then you need to 1 get some electrum rings +1 and 2 use some accuracy food because thats just plain bad.

best hat available for any bard who doesn't want to deal with DL drop rates, and I'm counting paragon's crown.

In any case, I don't think anyone opened forum to discuss whether or not they are the best hats ever. Just that a lot of people wanted them, camped them every raid, and still don't have both. So yeah, we want more raids.

Are you comparing two dd hats for what a tanking war needs? I would go with Militia Armet if you want to tank, but regardless you dismiss 10 vit and 5 str and say to get it else where and then point out the acc loss in 15 dex when you can get that elsewhere..

I was unaware War needs block rate... Are you sure you are not confusing this with parry?

Sure thats what im saying.. you can get the Stuff elsewhere. I would prefer having those STR/VIT from triple pants instead of losing the crit rate/crit atk.. and im totally against -stats. For some pieces its hard to avoid it, if you want to have best piece in slot. But here again.. i think tricorne is really decent and personally i would take it over DL-helm.
