seems he dont know you can repair gears 10 levels more than your craft
Just to clarify, you are talking about the job system right?
I'm pretty sure you are so I'll join right in and say... They already are.
Only a Gladiator can be a Paladin. (Have access to Paladin skills and traits etc)
This isn't the point I was making lol
let's see if he figures it out and what is wrong with his post.
i vote no please, for crafting or anything for that matter. no restrictions please on classes or crafts, no making one stronger then the other, no racial bonus problems, no anything that will make 1 more then another for any reason.
i don't want pay 3bucks for another account, and i surely without a doubt don't want to repeat the same things on the second account just to get a equal character. also in ffxi u needed mules so crafting on one didn't cost u anything really, in ffxiv u would need to pay 3-4bucks for a few mules ...and then on top that pay 3bucks for another account to craft on, horrible. plus like i said on another thread, any system where some people can fix any issues by throwing money at it is a unfair system, like the anima system, people with double accounts can port till no ends while some of us run around waisting hours of our days, this is a unjust system that does not work. loop holes with money are wrong and SE dam well knows what they are doing, they letting u pay for loop holes and it is not cool. change it so all can get same type of gameplay with or without money, with or without friends accounts, or second computers or whatever. tyvm.
no limitations = yes please
"Dude thanks but i understood completely.
you have to understand that once the capp raises i WILL NOT LONGER be able to repair all my gear. that means im rank 70 MRD and i ranked ARM and BSM and GLD to 50 to repair everything now i wasted my time because i can only take one further. do you understand? If i knew i could only rank one class i would not have wasted my time getting those jobs to rank 50 if when the cap is rasied it will be useless.
I also spent 3-4 months on each craft not JUST to repair everything but to make gear for myself. So if i can not make high level gear and sell it or wear it in this case its useless. Its like having a rank 40 DoW in the rank 45 raid (which i can not even enter). whats the point?"
i did not know 50 plus 10 = 70......
lemme explain again. if i can only take one craft passed the cap of rank 50 that means i can not repair all my gear.
so lets go like others MMO, only using NPCs to repair with gils :D thats what u like?
someone know a game where u can level up to max every craft/gatherer? just curiosity
i'd have to agree for that reason too, biggest goal on leveling all the other crafts to 40-50 was so i can fix my gears myself, it was the biggest reward from it since i don't really have the space to inventory mats for every rank 50 class to make gils on them. maybe when we can buy mules will be little more easier but right now it's a pain so sticking to 1-2 is easier.
also to make my own parts for multiple item crafts, like arrows. having to later buy mine, while rmt are all using multiple accounts and undercutting everyone will be uncool. i want the same equal right to get my 1 account at the same progress. like i said above, people throwing money at the problems seem to fix the problems and this is a wrong type of system.
also if anyone remembered the last few years of ffxi it was near impossible to get teleports even shouting for 10-20mins, what u think will happen with gear fixing later? it already a hastle with everyone trying to get repairs for equal cost to the mat, so tell me that in a year or so that we all gonna have problems getting gear fixed half the time, being able to fix your own is a cool progression to hit.
Dude thanks but I understood completely, but since you don't I'll break it down for you in your style.
You will most likely be able to level your all your crafts to 50 60 or 834740 without a problem. (Edit: I didn't think I needed to do this but I will just in case. This sentence is important to understand.)
When your craft hits 50 you will probably have the option to dedicate yourself to the craft (become a master at it). When you become a master at it I bet we'll have access to new recipes that require you to be a master at a craft. (This is a key point do you understand this?)
Still with me?
So if that becomes the case all your crafts will be high enough to repair your gear so your time won't have been wasted.
You obviously didn't understand the original post, try not to say you do when you don't... you don't learn anything that way.
wow u already know all!! the limit will be 50 and they will raise it to 60+ without a system to repair easier! Could be posible they improve level range to repair? could be they add more than 1 repair class per item, could they add an temporary fix from another class leveling up your gear 50% instead 100%, etc, etc, etc (all this in 1 minut thinking)
But i dont know it, so i dont post it like is true.
Aah I get it.
In that case they might just not make it equal for balancing sakes.
Wouldn't you say it makes more sense to leave the fighting classes/jobs the way they are? And then if Mastery was implemented wouldn't you say it makes more sense to have it apply exclusively to the crafting classes?
Personally, I think it makes more sense to leave what we have alone.
My problem is that I play this game for the DoH and DoL. I log in every day to craft and gather. I do not think I should be penalized because I do not want to kill things.
If people who want to kill things can be every combat class, why can't I be every craft class?
edit: Adding on.
As far as balance, if I never play a combat class, wouldn't I be balancing the people who never play a craft class?
I do agree with the post above me
you kill me !!!! how come you can make "puer speculation" and i can not!!!! its to funny!!!!
I am using my brain you are not. FF11 the crafts were restricted!!!! YOU COULD NOT RANK PASS 50 on more then one class. this is how every other MMO has limited crafters what makes you think they will be different?
I am sure they will go that route and thats what this thread is about. If they do who cares but thats what thistread is about.
I understand what you mean. I started this game planning to be Alchemist/Miner.... But since the change of leadership the original thought of having Dol/Doh as classes unto themselves might have actually failed. I think yoshi might end up putting us on the support role as in every other game out there.
erm seriously i have to explain diference in numbers between producers and customers?
And in all honesty, I will deal with it. If you notice, I have not done any raging in any of my posts. I just feel it is important to offer a different view point and express how I feel.
If DoH is limited, I will still play and I will still have fun but if there is ever a time to let the devs know how I feel, it would be now.
it wont be btw, the craft system in FFXIV required many craft to be able to make 1 piece of armor/wep (mostly the heavy and melee type), with the system as it is now 1 player should and will be able to craft the item himself w/o help from other player and therefor the mats price is low-medium so the item price will be mats + fee for craft (and the crafter only earn money from final craft), now if it is 1 player/craft:
example: sword require 5 mats to be able to craft
crafter 1: sell the mats + fee craft
crafter 2: sell the mats + fee craft
crafter 3: sell the mats + fee craft
crafter 4: sell the mats + fee craft
crafter 5: buy all the mats above + fee craft
conclusion: higher price and eventually become unstable because now player will have to control price of every mats and not 1 final item anymore
i think so also but if we tell them this is not what we want loud enough mab they will listen? they have before. And hey do not get me wrong if a dev comes in and says "this is the plan we need to do this for the betterment (is that a word) of the game then i will dead the tread and go on. But do not keep me in the dark and have me waste my time ranking up crafts i would never have touched.
I mean in all my MMO life i NEVER touched a craft before now since i can do lots in this game i actually started craft and having fun. You no what would kill my fun? If i can not get crafting to a max level one day.
Yep, it's possible to have a debate and still be civil.
But you know how the internet is, caps and "I am using my brain and you are not" statements from children throwing their temper tantrums.
PS. I was dying to play an important role in the story as a Miner. /cry
I will not speculate on how restricting crafting and gathering classes will affect the economy. I will say this however. If the DoH and DoL classes get restrictions on leveling and/or specialization then DoW and DoM should receive the same restrictions.
Without the form of making each crafter have a specialized field of work the game is kind of broken whether you guys see it or not. I think it is dumb to think you should be able to have all crafts maxed. About the repair issue I don't think every person should have the ability to repair all of their gear, I am sure they will not lower your current 50 cap crafts but they will probably allow you to take one up to the higher cap and the other be capped at 50 which would probably allow you to be able to repair most everything anyways. Sorry that is speculation but I am sure they have thought of this. I am glad that are adding only 1 capped crafting class because I believe that will actually stimulate the economy and make certain crafted pieces harder to obtain. This is like adding specializations so every crafter isn't the same you have to choose a profession and fit that particular role.
If you compare timelines of when we get statements translated to when we hear official notes and they're implemented you'll see that when we get something translated it's pretty much set in stone. Polls really won't do anything.
Besides, this thread is premature. It shouldn't come out after we got an official statement.
But the original problem is that the first 3 posts are biased and inaccurate.
DNO,
using caps in every single one of your posts doesn't make you look any smarter.
Nor does making up biased polls.
Nor does repeating the same stuff in several threads.
Nor does ignoring punctuation and grammar.
and? Mercedes, BMW, etc if they want, they have materials to craft double or triple cars every day, but they need to control production on a competitive market.
If we had a car producer per 10 drivers... cars could cost 3000€ instead 20000 and producers will gain so low benefit that they will try it with worse (and cheaper) raw material.. etc etc etc, we will had 1 car per person and drive could be imposible on big cities. (just expeculation but probably near reallity) Economy is not as easy as let me sell and let they buy
